Introducing The Highlander Open #2, an introduction for non-competitive players into the comp scene or for those wanting to get into league-style competitive TF2 in a simple manner sponsored by essentials.tf & whitelist.tf.

And what exactly is this, we hear you ask? Well check out our fantastic and visually pleasing Highlander Open Page! It contains all the basics about what exactly the Highlander format is, and essential (light) reading for all who want to get involved.

This tournament is meant for people who are new to competitive play, a competition to find the very best pub team essentially.

If you are a lone player wanting to get into a team or if you want to get more players for your own team, check out the Recruitment Section or the Recruitment thread. If you are a team looking to get a buddy, load up the forum and ask away.

Rosters may only have a maximum of 2 player with experience in Division 5/Open Playoffs or higher HL and 6v6. That person is your ‘buddy’ and can only play as a medic. For more info on this check the HLO #2 FAQ.

Crowns vs. Perilous Gaming

The top dog takes on another ragtag group of underdogs when European Full Tilt face Australia shredded autism. This will not be the last time these two meet as they are destined for battle this weekend at DreamHack Summer. As so many of these games have been this week, it is yet another chance for the teams to gauge themselves and gain momentum. But there are still points on the line and shredded autism need some. Tune in with , UnitedKingdom Sideshow, Canada Getawhale and England DavidTheWin.

B@GSER FIVE vs. Personal Computer Masterrace

Fan favourite Russia B@GSER FIVE has had a very real struggle so far. But they seem determined to not surrender. A playoff spot is seemingly impossible, but building a legacy is still a possibility. Their enemies du jour have the distinction of being the first team this season to topple champs European Se7en. With B@GSER FIVE’s track record against said team one could favour Ukraine PC MASTER RACE. But upsets have been aplenty so far. Casted by Denmark BeaterScotland zeFrosty and Scotland Sim.

European Se7en find themselves in an unusual position, namely the losing kind. Dropping maps two weeks running they are currently occupying the 4th spot in the table well behind current leader European Full Tilt. With DreamHack summer just around the corner losing to another attendee of said tournament now, would not only put them way down in the tables. But also give European Unexpected unwanted momentum going into the LAN event. Speaking of which, be sure to stick around for a showmatch following the official between European Unexpected and Australia shredded autism. All covered by Ireland Admirable, England Bren and England DavidTheWin.

It’s been rough waters for the maiden voyage of fan favourite Russia B@GSER FIVE. No points yet and roster issues muddying the waters. But where there’s a will, there’s a way. On the other side we have Australia shredded autism who have had a mixed bag, netting themselves 5 points so far. With the DreamHack Summer LAN tournament looming close for shredded autism a win here could build some nice momentum. Casters are England BrenEngland WARHURYEAH and England DavidTheWin
