While we are running behind provisional schedule and 6v6 Season 38 isn’t officially wrapped up yet we will be lifting the roster lock so that teams can add their players and start applying for the upcoming season.
Welcome to our 39th Season of 6v6!
Without further ado, we are very happy to be able to announce that our signups are open right now until the 30th of June 18:00 CET!

Prize Pool
There will be a prizepool, the size of which will be confirmed in the upcoming weeks!
Season Schedule
- Signups: June 12th – June 30th, 18:00 CET (Premiership signups will close early, on June 26th at 21:00 CET)
- Publishing of Provisional Divisions: June 30th
- Publishing of Final Divisions: July 3rd
- Premiership Qualifiers: June 27th – July 4th
- Main Season:July 4th – August 20th (Roster Lock will be active starting from August 15th, 00:00 CEST)
- Playoffs:August 22nd – September 5th

Recently some parts of the community have spoken out in favour of removing the market gardener and iron bomber from the whitelist. The polls below are included to gage the general level interest within the community to remove these, and some other, weapons from the whitelist.

We will not continue to use the mercy rule plugin in Season 39. In it’s current state the plugin causes more issues than it solves, playoff scoring being an example.
Promotions
The winners of each Division/Tiers will automatically be promoted to the next higher Division/Tier unless their starting roster has changed by half or more of their players.
All promotions are open for admin discretion. This is in order to make sure the tiers are as good as they can possibly be. If you are uncertain about being promoted you can follow the below mentioned sign-up process to give additional information about your team.
Sign-up Process
First and foremost you must sign up your team from there: https://etf2l.org/wp/wp-admin/index.php?page=comps
An email does not count as signing up to the upcoming season and is only meant to give further information regarding your team and its placement.
Please note that the success of your request also strongly depends on the free slots in the tier you aim for. Established teams will be favored over new teams or teams that request to jump a tier.
- Premiership:
If you intend to sign up for the Premiership Tier we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. Due to the Premiership Qualifiers happening while signups are still open, we will only consider teams for the Premiership Qualifiers that signed up before the scheduled deadline. Additionally, we expect teams without a guaranteed Premiership Division spot to be able to compete on the provided Premiership Qualifier dates.
We expect all aspiring Premiership Tier teams to either send us an email ([email protected]) or directly contact a league admin on Steam or Discord with the following:
– Team name, Division you apply for and ETF2L link
– Roster
– Recent results and logs associated to them
– Reasons why your team deserves to be placed in the tier you applied for (optional)

Teams that do not send an email or contact admins risk losing their spot in the Premiership Qualifiers.
- Division 1 and Division 2 (High):
If you intend to sign up for Division 1 or Division 2 you must sign up to “High tier” when signing up for the season. We encourage you to send us an email ([email protected]) with the following:
– Team name, Division you apply for and ETF2L link
– Roster
– Recent results and logs associated to them
– Reasons why your team deserves to be placed in the tier you applied for (optional)

Somewhat related but not really but can we please get rid of the stupid “3-2 on koth = GCW rule”? that shit sucks nuts. No sane person has ever argued that a 3-2 win on product is anything other than a close but still decisive result. It’s clear golden caps in the season are staying (for better or for worse) but I don’t understand how u can take away a point from a team that clearly won.

The koth golden cap rule is bizarre I agree and it seems inconsistent because it’s not as if people get more points for losing 4-5 than 0-5 say on a cp map.
Obviously golden caps exist if there is no decisive result after 30 mins but it doesn’t feel like the same thing + to be fair I’d also get rid of those and just give the golden cap winner all the points.
