The 17th 6v6 Season of ETF2L has come to an end after 3 months of matches across all divisions, and we finally know the champions of Europe. It is our pleasure to announce that Made In Germany <3 Admirable <3 Thun, have emerged as the winners, securing 500€ from the prize pool as well as 6 Tt eSPORTS Cronos Gaming Headset courtesy of Tt eSPORTS. 

The VoDs of all playoff matches from BlackOutGamingTV and TeamFortress.TV are available on the their respective YouTube channels.

The winning squad is comprised of:

The Last Resort earned 2nd place, winning €300 and 6 Tt eSPORTS Theron Gaming Mouse courtesy of Tt eSPORTS.  Awsomniac won 3rd place, securing €200 and 6 Tt eSPORTS Black Element Gaming Mouse 

And thanks to  private_meta for donating €252, we had additional prizes available to hand out in the following structure:

•  Division 1 winner: €80
•  Division 2 winners: €47
•  Division 3 winners: €26

It is also worth mentioning that Lethal Weapon convincingly won Division 1 this season, and we will hopefully see them in the Premiership Division next season! 4-25 successfully won their premiership tiebreaker against LEGO to earn their spot in the Premiership Division next season.

In the other playoff and tiebreaker matches, Phase won their tiebreaker to earn their place in Division 1 for next season. You can check all the playoff and tiebreaker results here.

Season 18 application reminder

If your team finished last in a group with two or more drops (which means all demotion spots are occupied), you are not guaranteed a spot in the same division in Season 18. Although you are not in the “red zone”, you are still in danger of demotion if more worthy candidates apply for the same division.

In other words: if your team finished last, you still have to submit screenshots if you apply for the same division in Season 18.

Staff Updates

We’ve been quite lazy with keeping everyone up to date regarding the ETF2L staff so let’s remedy that:

Firstly, Spike Himself is once again retiring from his active admin duties and will watch the others do all the hard work from his summer home, while enjoying his new Honorary Admin badge.

After doing heaps of work for us since joining the staff, both Reservoir Dog and slate will be resigning to hopefully pursue more fruitful projects in their own time.

Also leaving us is gf18_idiot, who will delve into the joys of real life after being a superbly successful part of our AC team for quite some time.

We’re sorry to let them go, but wish them the best of luck and success in all of their endeavours.

But, of course, there are also a few new additions to our staff: Jon has been providing us with league coverage for some time already and is now officially one of our two Newswriters.

The following admins have proven to be credit to team during their trial period and have been promoted to full staff:

• Solid will be making ETF2L a better place as part of our AC team.
• Leftism and ash joined as HL and 6v6 League Admins, respectively.

That being said, we are still recruiting! While we always need League Admins that can help us with something the current admins cannot do due to time constraints or similar; we especially need Media Producers/Designers, Site Coders and League Admins to host One Night Cups!
