Here we go again. We’re proud to announce that the signups for Season 15 powered by BlackOut Gaming are now officially open!
Sign-up process
Make sure to choose your desired division when signing up. If you created a new team or feel you can jump a division, feel free to apply for the division you believe you deserve you should be in. To prove you are capable of the division you applied for, we require you to submit screenshots of results from your recent practice matches or tournaments where you scored decent results against teams that play on the level you aim for. The quantity is not the most important factor in this case, it’s more of a helpful measure for us to figure out if your team will be able to keep up with the pace. There is no magical, minimum or maximum number of screenshots that you have to submit.
Please note that the success of your request also strongly depends on the free slots in the division you aim for. Established teams will be favoured over new teams or teams that request to jump a division. The screenshots have to be uploaded to an online image storage service (for example, you can use imgur or Dropbox). Keep in mind that if you opt for a zipped archives with tons of pictures attached to an email, your application will be ignored. Keep it clean.
If you are applying for Division 6 (which is our entry division), you do not have to provide any proof that you are capable of playing at that level. This only applies to Division 5 or higher.
Please send your application to [email protected]. The division assignment request has to include the following information in order to be considered. Incomplete applications will be ignored!
- Do not use HTML in your eMail. If you want to add a link, just paste the link in the eMail as you would enter it in your browser.
- Team name
- Team link on ETF2L.org
- Division you apply for
- Link to the online photo album
- Reasons why your team deserves to be placed in the division you applied for (optional)
Season Schedule
Signups: April 16-26
Publishing of Provisional Divisions: April 27
Schedule Week: April 28 – May 4
Main Season: May 5 – June 22 (7 weeks)
Catch-up Week: June 23 – 29
Playoffs: June 30 – July 20
You can still sign up your team after April 26. Teams signing up later than April 26 will be placed on the waiting list and have a very high chance of replacing dead or dropping teams during the first three play weeks.
Maps
Season 15 features the following maps: cp_badlands, cp_gullywash_final1, cp_granary, cp_snakewater, cp_process_rc2, koth_pro_viaduct_rc3
Taking the feedback we received from the community as well as from a majority of Premier Division teams into account we decided to give koth_pro_viaduct_rc3 a shot for this season. It will be played in a best-of-5 format with no timelimit.

Week 3: cp_snakewater/cp_granary
Week 4: cp_granary/cp_process_rc2
Week 5: cp_process_rc2/koth_pro_viaduct_rc3
Week 6: koth_pro_viaduct_rc3/cp_badlands
Week 7: cp_badlands/cp_gullywash_final1
Prizes
Players in all divisions will receive in-game medals for winning the group, as well as participation medals for finishing the season.
The best three Premiership Division teams will receive a share of €1000 generously provided by BlackOut Gaming. Additionally to that there will be 6 Club 3D Radeon HD 7850 royalKing graphics cards for the 1st place.
1st Place – €500 + 6 Club 3D Radeon HD 7850 royalKing
2nd Place – €300
3rd Place – €200
Rule changes
These changes will affect the General Rules.
2.4 Every player has to record Demos
Demos can be requested by an admin or any player of the opposing team.
Admins may request demos up to the end of the competition the match was played in (until the wrap up post is published). They can request as many demos as they require.
The opposing team can request demos up to 48 hours after the match was scheduled to start. They can request demos from up to 2 players, who will then have to provide their demos for all played maps.
A player whose demos have been requested has 72 hours to upload the demo, starting from the time the request was made.
2.4.1 Penalties for not providing requested demos
Failure to supply a requested demo will result in one of the following penalties:
– First time: Minor warning for the team. This warning can be removed once the requested demo is provided.
– Second time: Major warning for the team. Player is banned for two weeks from all ETF2L competitions.
– Third time: Player is banned for two months from all ETF2L competitions.Penalties are applied if a requested demo is not provided within 72 hours. Major warnings and bans are not removable.

A new version of cp_process is likely to come out before the season starts. If it contains no major bugs, we will be using that!

We will be on the lookout for casters to help cover this season – probably Div 1-4 games mainly as Prem will be covered by tf.tv/VTV.
