Team YoYoTech vs Team Dignitas

European Team YoYoTech will be looking to make a statement in Division 1 tonight and recover from an early season setback against Finland Illegal as they take on reigning back-to-back ETF2L champions European Team Dignitas.

YoYoTech are the only team that can boast a good record against Dignitas, handing them their only map loss of Dignitas’s previous ETF2L season, and more significantly, beating them over two sets and five maps to win the coveted EMS crown this summer.

Looking to build on that success, YoYoTech have selected Turbine as their map pick. Dignitas may struggle here considering they only just managed to scrape an overtime win versus Netherlands FakkelBrigade in Week 2 of this season on Turbine.

We can look forward to what should be a highly competitive Gravel Pit as well. Gravel Pit tends to bring out the best in Dignitas, with all of their chemistry, talent and versatility usually on full display on this dynamic map.

How will the teams fare tonight? Tune in to find out!

I just want to thank Fruit for allowing us to re-schedule at such short notice. We cocked up, so I’d like to apologise to Fruit, the admins and anyone who planned on watching this match. I have a lot of time and respect for these guys.

Well played to 5 members of the Dignitas Team, thoroughly enjoyed Turbine even though we lost it, felt good to play at such an intense level and i’m sure the 900+ viewers had a spectacle :)

Gpit 1st round was very close and somehow we could not help but think we got very unlucky with our spawn, we had a very long spawn time of 17 seconds when we died on B where as looking at src tv they had 13 which made all the diff for the scouts to get in early on C.

As for 2nd round that was FOR JOKES!!!!! etc…

Good game ! As always enjoy playing vs dig they make me want to actually continue with TF2.

    Cheers

Hmm, well played to 5 of the members if Diggy ? But I guess you have your reasons for that statement.
A bit too bad Yoyo didn’t beat them on any map. As much as I like Diggy they are getting a bit too dominant. It would be more nice with a div 1 with teams of more even skill.
Yoyo was really close on Turbine. Close, but no cigarr..

I certainly hope you continue to play TF2, Byte. There might not be many teams that can challenge the top teams like Diggy and Yoyo, but the growth of the game in the lower divs seems fine to me and given time some of them will improve and hopefully some of those will reach the top level.
