Boris, the week for the match is next week, not this week. So playing tomorrow (23rd) would be a problem.

I see, however, that while your team is US-based, you are English. Great nation; I never should have moved to the US. Anyway. I don’t know if you would prefer to play on US or UK-based servers, but we are certainly fine with playing on a Euro server. If you have a server, that’s even better.
I’ve asked the team what days seem fine for them, but I’m open to suggestions at this time. Let’s see if we can find times that blend time zones effectively, as many of us are Eastern Standard Time.
    Thanks in advance.

RNG God, that’s fine. I thought the match was supposed to take place this week. Where are you getting all the information for when the matches are supposed to take place?

I’m pretty sure my entire team’s schedule is really flexible, so propose a time and we’ll decide on a compromise.

    Thanks.

  3. Mr Pingas: IWatch said:

Well, good maps for it, anyhow.
The information is just from reading the updates and pages on the site. Anyway, of our lot, it seems that around 5 pm EST (GMT-5) would be the earliest we could play on a weekday. Weekends are even more vague, but most likely more flexible. Also, we’re a bit confused as to how this site works, so if you wouldn’t mind, could you tell us what time your second proposal is, and what time zone?

  4. Boris: -[JS]- said:

Our time zone is also EST.

  5. RNG God: IWatch said:

Are you opposed to playing on weekends? I can work with weekdays, certainly, but weekends seems easier for all involved, given that some members of my team (not sure about yours) are still in school/college.

  6. Boris: -[JS]- said:

Weekends are good for us as well. We’re trying to not to schedule on October 1-3. Respond with a time and if it’s on a Saturday, we are usually always available.

  7. Boris: -[JS]- said:

I’ve proposed the date this Sunday at 8PM. Please respond. We are supposed to have week 1 matches done by THIS WEEK. Our Week 2 match has already been scheduled for next weekend. Respond.

  8. RNG God: IWatch said:

Oh! I see. ETF2L should have made that clear.

I would like to play then, at the time you proposed. I will get the team organized.

  9. Mr Pingas: IWatch said:

Should we play on the server listed on the JS page? IP 96.238.252.195:27015? Or should we ask ETF2L for a host server?

  10. Boris: -[JS]- said:

I think you guys should host the server. It would run a lot smoother that way.

And one last time: Will you guys be ready at 8pm CEST or 8pm EST? I’ll re-propose the date for 8pm EST.

  11. Mr Pingas: IWatch said:

We’re prepared for 8:00 EST. I don’t think we have any way to host a server, unfortunately. Our only member who I am aware has the capability to run a server isn’t going to be able to make this match. By the way, according to the rules, we’re allowed to have up to two Mercs. We’re gonna have to cash in on that; one for sure, but possibly two. They’re not technically Mercs, since they’re part of the Steam group, but they haven’t fully registered on ETF2L yet. Anyway, that’s just so you know what’s going on there.

  12. RNG God: IWatch said:

Thanks, Pingas. Yeah, 8PM EST was the time I thought you meant all along.
And actually, the “Merc” he mentions is registered on ETF2L but not yet verified. So he’s like a half-merc.
I’m just waiting for confirmation from the last two of our players that they can make it, but otherwise we’re all set.
As Pingas said, the only member with a server (and the ability to run it) is missing. If necessary, I believe we can ask ETF2L for a server. But that’s likely to be Euro-based and screw us all over.

  13. RNG God: IWatch said:

Boris, can you submit results for now? Apparently there was a certain lack of screenshot taking on our end.

Obviously, 4-1 (you) on Upward. I’m not sure how DB scores would be calculated.

Anyway, good match, and I’m sorry we took so long to get the bloody players.

Warning given to Invisiwatchmen for using unregistered players.
Mercs need to be registered at ETF2L as well!
Warning can be removed if you can prove that they entered an incorrect steam id.

  15. Mr Pingas: IWatch said:

Okay, the rules page did not specify that Mercs had to be registered at ETF2L. Therefore, we did what we could given the circumstances. Now, in addition to this, IWatch.RNGgod, IWatch.Outlaw, WolverineZac and gd Monkey are all listed twice as unregistered. I also note that RNGgod and Outlaw are, indeed, both registered. We used only two mercs at a time, and three total were necessary because our first one ragequit after Dustbowl. I’ll try again to upload the necessary screenshots and demos later today.

3.5 (note that this rule is a little bit modified for the highlander challenge)
All mercs have to be registered on etf2l. Teams caught using an unauthorized merc will receive a default loss and a warning.
If a player entered an incorrect steam id and therefore shows as unregistered, please contact an admin on IRC (Go here http://etf2l.org/etf2l/support/ enter a nickname, join #etf2l and type !admin)

  17. Mr Pingas: IWatch said:

Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I neglected to note the changed rule.
I would also like to state that I have just attempted to submit both a demo and a screenshot from the map, and both submissions returned a 504 error.

  18. RNG God: IWatch said:

Thanks for dealing with this, Pingas.
We’re sorry for the problem, and it won’t happen again.
