Yes I am, every other sourcegame game such as l4d2 I can run everything on high and get great fps infact any other game runs perfect. It’s only tf2 which is a piece of shit and wont give good fps even with a config. as you can see specs are more the capable for running the game with fucking decent fps. shit I can’t even get decent fps on 800 x 600.
do you have a new antivirus programm?
i used to have exactly the same problem with bitdefender some months ago. it kept doing scans and stuff while i was playing tf2. although i have a quadcore with 3,1gHz my fps dropped to 10 on mids.

Maybe u should run gamebooster? works for some people, will help u clear clutter off when playing.

That must be an old system. damn so dirty.
Run tf2 in windowed modus, go to windows task manager and put cpu usage of hl2exe to high.
Did the trick for me :p

he already uses -high in the launch options.
I’ll call to my uncle in NASA. I’m sure they have some spare super computer which could run this shitty game at least in 60 fps @ 640×420

ur kinda making a problem where there isnt any, tf2 needs good core speeds and u dont have any… u simply dont have good enough cpu, no cfg or setting will help
yer hes right, you could have a cpu with 16 cores each at 2Ghz and you still wont get 120 stable. in an ideal world you would have a single core cpu thats say 6-8Ghz

I don’t even want 120, I just want a consent 60fps. to stay like that even during mid fights.
My PC is clean, I clean it every fortnights, no massive dust shit none of that. Processes in background are not that many, they only consist of antivirus, drivers, windows important shit.
CPU usage is usually aorund 60-70%
