oh heyyyy
We are Rasta Gaming and we're on the search for a backup all rounder. When I say all rounder, please be one. I've put Div4 to avoid any people saying "Omg only been in div5" but honestly, our individual skill levels are far greater and once we get some solid play time in we can easily surpass this level.
Right, down to what we actually want;
– Someone who can play demoman/scout/soldier to a competent level.
– Be from the UK/Ireland or I'll accept Sweden, just cuz they are awesome.
– Understand this is backup spot, however there is a high chance you'll be able to play quite a bit.
– English. You should speak it.
– *Insert other useful attributes I can't think of here*
– If you are from Russia/Eastern Europe, I'm very sorry, but no, just no. I won't accept you. However I don't mind accepting france/german/holland if you speak very clear English and are a laugh!
– Have at least div4 experience. Higher would be lovely.
So you should understand that we are a fucking hilarious group of people and you should be up for a laugh at all times. Be able to take defeat and understand we're not perfect……. YET :DD We can offer you,
– mumble or ts3 provided by Rasta (but we don't use it) mumble ftw
– A splendid game server
– filthy's amazing youtube links.

rts: I doubt it’s only about the accent. It’s probably about the time difference as well. Think about it: Players from Moscow are +3 hours in comparison to the UK :)

@rts – well I’m sorry but since we are uk/ireland and a fluent swede…. a russian or whatever sounds pretty obvious in mumble. It’s also about what canfo stated, time difference/possible ping and just a general hanging out thing. My most sincere apologies if you’re butt hurt about this. xxx

I doubt that +1 or +2 is that big a problem time-zone wise. My team plays fairly late but I still manage it, and most of them are GMT.
Also, most eastern-europeans speak fluent english, better than a lot of nordic people.
At the end of the day, it’s a team’s choice as to who they want to trial or not, but these sort of things are BS.
I’ve merced for them a few times and they are great guys. Really good DM from all players and should be in div 4 by next season. I’d say r7an and dougie have definitely achieved the goal they were aiming for when they started the team.

So when this team started along time ago in a galaxy far far away. It was supose to be an all scottish team, and after that it was an all UK team. And then I got recruited because I know r7an and they needed a demoman. And I guess what dougiie is saying is that it would be nice to keep it so close to UK as possible and not get alot of people from all over europe.
It’s like I would start an all swedish team, and then recruit one norwegian because he understands quite well and we understand him. If we have an all swedish team I wouldn’t go recruitng a bunch of people from poland etc. That would just be retarted.
So please stop thinking we hate you from the east europe.

For what it’s worth Im central European.
Also, it’s just me, but a mono-national team sounds nasty. It’d be like playing with 5 other copies of myself(stereotypes, ho!). It’s more fun when you get to meet new people from different countries and exchange habits and stuff(for example, I use russian swear words cause they’re funny).
Again. Everyone’s allowed to have whatever team they want, I just wanted to express my opinion. )))))
Ghostface, time zone difference can have a big impact.
We have a player who never gets on before 9pm CET during the week and I’ll get on just after that a couple of nights a week also. It’s alright because we are a UK team with one Fin who is a student so we get by :)
Plus you’ve got LANs to consider.
