Okay maybe prem is a bit of a stretch but any aspiring div 1 team would be good.
I believe I could compete at any level, like I said I have done the skill police rant stupid amounts of time on other recruitment threads. If you are really interested in my explanations you can see them on there.
But basically I know a lot of the scouts that are playing at that sort of level now and I know how I compare and I believe I could compete no dramas.

I can’t tell if it’s funny or sad that you’re making fun of that picture ( which is 100% true ). Same about the fact you won’t realize you’re not div1/prem (See: previous rec threads + previous teams).
You were literally the worst player on EG by far.

I wouldn’t say that he can’t cope under pressure, but he’s definitely not a reliable player as he oft decides that he just cba and doesn’t try anymore. Basically – Matt plays for himself, not the team, which is fine as long as he can be bothered but that never happens. He very often doesn’t try to improve even when the problem is explicitly stated, kind of me, except I fail while trying, not fail to try. His aim is great – when he can be bothered. his gamesense is fine – when he can be bothered, his calls are fine – when he can be bothered.
Unluckily I would have to advise avoiding Matt as he isn’t, overall, a teamplayer, which is the most important quality required, after all =c
I’m surprised people still find this entertaining.
I find it entertaining that he puts up a rec post that is meant to be serious with his serious self evaluation of his skill level, then, once people disagree with it…

If you are serious, what exactly makes you think you’re div1/prem? Your own teammate/s are saying that you weren’t capable, even “when he can be bothered”. You need to stop thinking you’re so good at this game and get a clue honestly, take some constructive criticism and realize that people are “hating on you” because you’re acting like a dick, not because you’re overrating yourself. You were looking for a div1 team back before joining EG and you ended up joining them, a medicore div2 team ( no offence to any of the EG members, you guys had 2 games against mid div2 teams and lost both ), and even there you didn’t finish a complete season in div2 ( not necessarily your fault, but still ). So again, what makes you think you’re capable of div1/prem? That’s a genuine question.

Just because a team does not work out has no reflection on an individual members skill level.
I don’t intend to air EG’s issues in public and it does not really have any effect on the overall intention of this thread.
I do not care if you do not think I can play at this level, I am only asking for the opportunity to trial at this level, I have played against many of the scouts at this level and have no problems competing against them.
This is the last response to the people that usually post in my threads which is a shame because we always have fun.
He’s a nice guy irl, so don’t be put off by the way he acts sometimes online. Not gonna comment on skill.

Ok then, I played against you, back when you have been in Strike a Pose and I was in Next Six Please. I have not recognized you as an exeptional scout in any way. We have played you several times, because it was an easy warm up most the time. You were never outstanding in any matter. I remember Evil, m@loi, Genesis and Nmx being annoying, but Matt …, no, no Matt.
Going from a mediocre div3 scout to prem or even div1 scout in a matter of 2-3 months seems quite a challenge.
But yeah, whatever. Have fun looking for trials. :X

I played against you around five times and all you did is die and troll how bad we are. Never noticed something that div3 scout could not do it better.

If the guy wants to trial Prem, I don’t see why he can’t. Let a Prem team trial him (Face it with the amount of drops Prem teams dropped in standard anyway) and if he isn’t deemed good enough then end of story.

Matt, you are not a prem player but you will be one day. It won’t be because you decided to stick with a team and grow together with them because you’re too arrogant to join a stable team and do so. It won’t be because you put in many hours a day for months on end training + watching demos because you don’t feel that you need to. It will be because TF2 will be dead and being “prem” will have lost any meaning that it used to have.
Ask yourself, why would any prem or even div1 team consider trialling you? Through the multiple recruitment threads you’ve had in the past half year, the only thing that you have proven to anyone that would be looking for a div1+ scout is that you have proven that you’re a div1+ scout to nobody other than yourself. A high-skilled team is not going to give just anyone a trial because they think they are cut out for it. When considering the smaller number of teams in prem/div1, the competition is higher and there are going to be, generally, a large number of people that “will do”. The ideal recruitment is someone who fits in both playstyle and personality into the team that can already handle the current level required; the worst case scenario would be needing to trial people who are completely unproven and have shown an undesirable attitude (and some teams will never even do that).
Again, a trial is something that needs to be earned, it’s not just a given. Looking at your recruitment posts you have failed to get a single recommendation on your skill level from former-teammates or your friends. Talent is something that will showcase itself, you don’t need to brag on the forums for people to rate you. As it so happens, literally nobody you’ve ever played with or against is coming onto these posts and saying that you’re too good for the teams you’ve been in or the level you’ve played at (low div 2/high div 3). You’ve also managed to paint yourself in a bad light, as a huge egoistic troll, even though we both know you’re a much nicer guy than that.
Also, your obsession with comparing yourself with other scouts makes you come across as a bit naive. Scout on scout is a small part of the game, DM against soldiers + demos and gamesense also play a significant role. That isn’t even beginning on how a particular scout might fit within a team (some scouts’ strength isn’t their aim after all). Stop worrying about other people’s game and the teams they’re in and just focus on being good yourself. You’re not going to be impressing anyone by being unproven and talking yourself up or talking others down.
Eat some humble pie, take the advice of some of the people here who aren’t just trolling you (Ret and Sonny are nice guys, they aren’t doing this to spite you) and fix your expectations and you might eventually earn a trial at the level you’re looking for. You’re better than this Matt.

I don’t understand you at all Matt.
The game that Anathema linked to was played under certain constraints, in this case we decided that each player only gets a single call throughout the entire 30 minutes for the sake of practice. While I won’t defend Matt’s skill here I’d like to point out that online results don’t really say a thing, especially not if you pick out one game where people don’t know the constraints to (and yeah some people practice like that)
What I meant by that Matt doesn’t cope under pressure is quite simple really, he asked me to step up the game of EG through any means necessary – and as some people know they call me the Drill Sergeant – so I started to do that. Matt didn’t quite put up with that and resorted to rather interesting statements regarding inactivity, like him being in “Germany” for a week only to have him appear in interviews at i43.
Surely he had his reasons for such behaviour, however he never bothered to discuss the matter and EG continued even without him. This isn’t about EG though so the rest won’t matter.
As previously stated by other people, he can perform when he can be arsed to, he can survive mid when he can be arsed to; it simply isn’t “fun” for him so he mostly won’t bother and just dick around and hope it’ll be enough.
Quite frankly it isn’t.
I wasn’t judging Matt’s gamesense, or the coordination of your team.
My point is that Matt claims to have ‘never struggled against div1 players’.
In that game he was literally one of the worst scouts I have ever faced in a competitive environment. Of course if he was losing on purpose that’s a whole other thing. That would just mean he’s an absolutely worthless addition to any team.
PS. Did you learn anything from the game where everyone only called once? I don’t see the point.
@Grimbar: I could also div1/prem scout if I could be arsed too :) I just don’t give a shit when playing in a lower level, so that’s why I don’t do as good. :D
