[tl;dr: setting the bar @ div2 for s9, searching for a scout and backup demoman]
Howdy!
Being relatively content playing our first season as DW.twitch, yet dealing with the loss of our awesome scout, Genmix, we are planning to work as hard as we can on our individual assets and our play as a team, to try and be able to compete at a Div2 level in Season 9.
What is this you say? This team ended up last in Div3C? I could bombard you with a barrage of excuses, but everyone that has played with us or against us has seen our huge growth in ability, and also knows that we started out as, on average, one of the most inexperienced teams in Div3. Only at nearly the end of S8 we finally settled on our currently great pair of soldiers, and can really start doing some damage. For myself, before S8 I never really main called, now I do it adequately (according to myself, and also if I may believe others). If we extrapolate this continuous improvement, we should do fine in Div2 once S9 comes near.
The ususal "what we seek" list:
– Maturity (not in the sense of age, but in the sense of empathy, intelligence, responsibilty, discipline and dedication)
– Full season's experience @ div3+ preferred. Basically, know what it's like to play with a team for a prolonged period.
– Be able to adapt to a team's general strategy. No stubborn scouts please.
– No rage. Have a positive can-do attitude during any match, even if we are on the losing side.
– Excellent calls and no aggro overextension. Know what the word "scout" means.
– Be proper @ English. No "barely understandable enough for ingame calls" people please.
– Be available for min. 4 days a week ~20:00-23:00CET (4 maps with additional shenanigans usually)
– You have to be a cool and sociable person (blah blah, as if someone's gonna say: "Hi there, I'm good at tf2 but I suck as a person)
What we got:
– Everything mentioned above ;)
– A chance to play under the legendary Digital Warfare name ;)
– Own site, forum, e-mail if you want, server, mumble, etc.
– A chance to chat with LoneGun (DW manager and legend) his wife when LoneGun is putting their son in the bath.
– Ambitious people who consider every game played a learning experience, and want to grow as a team.
Due to our demoman Dauk being away for about a month, we are searching for a backup demoman to play in his place when he's gone, and then move to backup spot again. No overly agressive demomen please, we don't focus the rest on our tactics on that, so it wouldn't be a fit.

Good players, can definitely be at least a top Div3 contender in S9 if they get the right players.
as a demoman you should be able to survive full round without healing ,because skeej loves his sollies so much that the only heals you will get are in start of rollouts. racist bastardz

Tell me more about these shenanigans. I might not be up to div.2 standard, and perhaps my skill as demo or scout is a bit off, but I’m all for shenanigans!

Krabs if you had actually played them or kept track of their progress you would’ve seen it’s more bad luck and inexperience that caused that than lack of skill.

Update bump. Things didn’t work out between us and Dreadz, so we’re looking for scout pairs again! Single trials are fine too.
Plz don’t apply if you don’t have at LEAST a full div4 season’s experience. Div3+ experience is a big preference. I’ve actually been open to lower div trials (because everyone always whines that teams don’t give lower div players a chance) but tbh we wasted a lot of time on this…
So, I don’t wanna waste any more time on that. Only serious scouts now please. Scouts that are fucking active and dedicated and have no shit English and wanna work with the team to climb up higher.
