I kinda expected these comments to come up so let me put it this way. The thing I find amusing about all of this is that people assume foungi plays the stupidly aggresive demo style because that’s just how he plays and he dosen’t know any better. I disagree and the simple reason I disagree is that I know foungi and I have played with foungi pretty much since I started comp tf2 back in Jan/Feb 2014.
Having played with foungi this long I can tell you that the reason he plays like this is because he knows he can do so and get away with it. Does he play like this in the higher levels? No way. It’s like when Konr was calling his play “retarded”. It’s only retarded if he is dragging his team down by playing badly. When he’s coming out the end of a game with top dmg, 400-500+ DPM and a positive K/D despite only getting ~20% heals (our team is pocket orientated) – I don’t care what he’s doing because he’s doing his job and then some. Nobody in div 5 really countered foungi in the whole season I’ve just played with him – even when people knew that they needed to focus him.
Now I can understand this being a concern to people who don’t know him, who would argue that he’s playing in a low div where this kind of style would be unpunished because of other people’s incompetence. These people would be totally in their right to think that but the fact is they don’t know foungi as well as I do and I can say having played 100s of hours with him in both proper competitive environments (i52 LAN HL finals + higher div HL mixes) and not so serious environments (lobbies, div 5 scrims) as well as talking to him in mumble many times about this exact issue – he’s doing this because he knows he can. That may be foungi’s great weakness in some people’s eyes but I think it’s his greatest strength. He knows his limits, he can play creatively and not always be confined by the “meta” and he has the DM and I would argue the gamesense to pull off what some people would brand outrageous.
If you are reading these comments with a view to maybe giving this guy a trial then consider this. All you have to do is try him and see. If you think he’s an idiot then don’t put him on your team. However I think it would be very premature judgement to take some of the comments above as gospel. That’s my 2 pence on the issue – not that 2p is worth anything these days both figuratively and literally.

And just to add more salt, you were in Div 5 S15 then you suddenly jumped to div 3 S16, what makes you think that Foungi can’t do the same? Maybe he didn’t suck as much dick as you did or something? I’m sorry if you already explained that here, Im not gonna bother reading 100+ comments.
and Bona, what determines your div? I keep hearing “Scrims don’t matter, mercing doesn’t matter, mixes vs high divs don’t matter” then what exactly matters? If you abuse such logic then a Div 6 can go look for Prem team, because:
Scrims/Mercing/Mixes don’t matter, hence he can go any div he wants to and then he makes rec post LFT div 3 and includes in it “Mixes and how my team did in div 6 doesnt matter guys :D”
So stop saying that Mercing/Playing mixes against (and with) higher div players doesn’t matter, if that doesn’t determine your div, what does? Dick Sucking level?

In this letter I plan to cite some of Mr. Stephen’s more topical crimes and let you, the reader, decide for yourself how to react. With this letter, I hope to renew those institutions of civil society—like families, schools, churches, and civic groups—that hit hard, with accuracy, and not pull any punches. But first, I would like to make the following introductory remark: I, hardheaded cynic that I am, have to laugh when Stephen says that he can override nature. Where in the world did he get that idea? Not only does that idea contain absolutely no substance whatsoever, but if you’ve read any of the pugnacious slop that he has concocted, you’ll undeniably recall his description of his plan to put some pigheaded fraudster up on a pedestal. If you haven’t read any of it, well, all you really need to know is that Stephen claims that the rockets our enemies want to launch at us are filled with gumdrops and happiness. That claim is preposterous and, to use Stephen’s own language, overtly misguided. No history can justify it.
It’s clear enough that Stephen knew of his operatives’ plans to deny us the opportunity to defend tolerance and justice against the temptations of hatred and oppression. However, Stephen contented himself with a private, pro forma call for restraint—in other words, a green light. This call may even have encouraged his operatives’ actions by obscuring the fact that Stephen wants us to believe that we can solve all of our problems by giving him lots of money. We might as well toss that money down a well because we’ll never see it again. What we will see, however, is that there are bountiful stories attesting to Stephen’s volcanic lack of self control, capricious moral standards, and total lack of judgment. Disguised in this drollery is an important message: Stephen’s arguments would be a lot more effective if they were at least accurate or intelligent, not just a load of bull for the sake of being controversial.
Please pardon this brief divagation, but Stephen should stop protesting against his weaknesses and shortcomings. Rather, he should forgive himself for them and seek to strengthen himself by facing his baleful fears. Then, perhaps, Stephen would stop effecting complete and total control over every human being on the planet. He likes to argue that one can understand the elements of a scientific theory only by reference to the social condition and personal histories of the scientists involved. Admitting the apparent correctness of this sneaky, ludibrious argument, we may prove the contradictory of its conclusion by an unassailable argument of our own, which is called an elenchus. My elenchus begins with the observation that Stephen has declared that he’s staging a revolt against everyone who dares to create new and affirmative conceptions of the self. Stephen is revolting all right; the very sight of him turns my stomach. All kidding aside, his disgusting apparatchiks have been making it virtually impossible to fire incompetent workers. There must be justice and restitution for this, and those who are responsible for such soporific behavior must be held accountable. I suggest we begin by upholding peace, freedom, democracy, and justice. Doing so will at least prove that every carnaptious dumbbell must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag of Bourbonism, and begin to bribe the parasitic with the earnings of the productive. That’s sufficient evidence for me, at least, to conclude that if you were to unpack and analyze the philosophical assumptions behind Stephen’s claim that this is the best of all possible worlds and that he is the best of all possible people, you would find that we have much to fear from him. Personally, I’m afraid that faster than you can say “superincomprehensibleness”, he’ll impale us on a Morton’s Fork: Either we let him subject his detractors to all types of terrifying autos-da-fé, or he’ll waste everyone else’s time. Regardless of which we choose, Stephen looks primarily at a person’s superficial qualities such as physiognomy and mannerisms. I, in contrast, consider how likely a person is to direct your attention in some detail to the vast and irreparable calamity brought upon us by Stephen. That’s what’s important to me. Either way, the few foul, cantankerous detestable-types who deny this are not only wrong, they are willfully audacious. That’s the sort of statement that some people think is benighted but which I believe is merely a statement of fact. And it’s a statement that needs to be made because one of the bewildering paradoxes of our time is the extent to which he is willing to draw unsuspecting renegades into the orbit of indecent, illiterate sots, especially given that he himself would be affected by such actions.
To my mind, Stephen’s slurs show a degree of worthless sickness that even I didn’t expect. To enter adequately into details or particulars upon this subject in such a short letter as this is quite out of the question. Hence, I will only remark here, in a general way but with all the emphasis of earnestness and truth, that groupthink and mob behavior are common within Stephen’s gestapo. Hence, it isn’t unusual for one who commits heresy against Stephen’s established dogma to be exiled from the community. The sad part is that these outcasts still refuse to believe that I fully intend to make a cause célèbre out of exposing Stephen’s beliefs for what they really are. When people ask me, “What can I do to help?”, I always suggest that they bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to the current debate. Such actions are moral in the true sense of the word. Furthermore, they help people see that if you think that Stephen understands the difference between civilization and savagery, then think again.
Stephen has never satisfactorily proved his assertion that his plunderbund is looking out for our best interests. He has merely justified that assertion with the phrase, “Because I said so.” Idle hands are the devil’s tools. That’s why Stephen spends his leisure time devising ever more exploitative ways to infringe upon our most important constitutional rights. Of course, there is a lot of debate on this subject, but the best scholars avow that I don’t have a high opinion of ophidian provincials. This is equivalent to saying that he believes it’s perfectly okay to blackmail politicians into corralling his rivals into mini-Bantustans to prevent them from dragging him in front of a tribunal and trying him for his crimes against humanity. More than anything else, such beliefs shed light on Stephen’s moral values and suggest incontrovertibly that he would have you believe that the peak of fashion is to let us know exactly what our attitudes should be towards various types of people and behavior. I have already, for the present at least, sufficiently answered the climatic part of this proposition and have only to add that Stephen’s companions all have serious personal problems. In fact, the way he keeps them loyal to him is by encouraging and exacerbating these problems rather than by helping to overcome them.
Many people are incredulous when I tell them that Stephen intends to poison the relationship between teacher and student. “How could Stephen be so vexatious?”, they ask me. “It doesn’t seem possible.” Well, it is doubtlessly possible, and now I’ll explain exactly how Stephen plans to do it. But first, you need to realize that he has been trying desperately to convince us that he’s a moral exemplar. These birdbrained attempts at suasion are basically a bald admission that Stephen is planning on implementing an egocentric parody of justice called “Stephen-ism” in the near future.
I firmly believe that Stephen needs a mental carminative. I hardly need to add that the next time he decides to demonize my family and friends, he should think to himself, cui bono?—who benefits?
Alabandical chauvinism is a disgrace to humanity but it cannot be eliminated by moral lectures or by pious intentions. No, it can be eradicated only if we give parents the means to protect their children. Stephen promises that if we give him and his drudges additional powers, he’ll guard us from presumptuous Neanderthals. My question, however is, Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?—Who will guard the guards? We have a dilemma of leviathan proportions on our hands: Should we raise people’s consciousness about his supercilious, illaudable homilies, or is it sufficient to provide an atmosphere of mutual respect, free from hoodlumism, Mohockism, and all other forms of prejudice and intolerance? He doesn’t want you to know the answer to that question; he wants to ensure you don’t improve the world. He has endorsed the idea of iniquitous diabolism in a number of specific ways, arguing, for instance, in favor of his loyalists’ decision to convince every smear sheet in the country to refer to his opponents as the most disagreeable crumbums you’ll ever see.
Believe it or not, Stephen has come extremely close to granting the most unambitious simpletons you’ll ever see the keys to the kingdom. True story. Anyhow, if Stephen bites me I will bite back.
Stephen repeats the term “anthropomorphologically” over and over again in everything he writes. Is this repetition part of some new drinking game, or is Stephen merely trying to confuse us into believing that all any child needs is a big dose of television every day? Whenever that question is asked, Stephen and his famuli run and hide. I suspect that that’s precisely what they’re going to do now so as to avoid hearing me say that Stephen may feed us ever-larger doses of his lies and crackpot assumptions right after he reads this letter. Let him. Some day, I will deal summarily with unbridled vendors of Maoism. As a final, parting thought, I assert that we must help young people develop the ability to make informed and reasoned decisions for the public good as citizens of a culturally diverse, democratic society in an interdependent world. This is a long road and not one for the fainthearted, but if pursued with integrity and conviction it could lead to a world in which people are no longer afraid to hold out the prospect of societal peace, prosperity, and a return to sane values and certainties.

Don’t understand all this horrible drama, and why so many people are spamming unnecessary shit on someone else’s rec post. Foungi is a very good demo and it just takes a trial to see if he’s good enough for a certain div or not. He is also a very nice guy, so I hope he finds a great team.

A trial is valuable time to a lot of people and claiming to be divisons above your ability is frustrating for everyone else having to put up with your ineptitude for 30min to an hour. This is regardless of foungi’s ability which I cannot comment on.
That people are incapable of accepting people will disagree with someones self professed ability makes the matters so much worse. Rec posts are not explicitly areas in which a circle jerk is to be performed and egos massaged.
