I kinda expected these comments to come up so let me put it this way. The thing I find amusing about all of this is that people assume foungi plays the stupidly aggresive demo style because that’s just how he plays and he dosen’t know any better. I disagree and the simple reason I disagree is that I know foungi and I have played with foungi pretty much since I started comp tf2 back in Jan/Feb 2014.
Having played with foungi this long I can tell you that the reason he plays like this is because he knows he can do so and get away with it. Does he play like this in the higher levels? No way. It’s like when Konr was calling his play “retarded”. It’s only retarded if he is dragging his team down by playing badly. When he’s coming out the end of a game with top dmg, 400-500+ DPM and a positive K/D despite only getting ~20% heals (our team is pocket orientated) – I don’t care what he’s doing because he’s doing his job and then some. Nobody in div 5 really countered foungi in the whole season I’ve just played with him – even when people knew that they needed to focus him.
Now I can understand this being a concern to people who don’t know him, who would argue that he’s playing in a low div where this kind of style would be unpunished because of other people’s incompetence. These people would be totally in their right to think that but the fact is they don’t know foungi as well as I do and I can say having played 100s of hours with him in both proper competitive environments (i52 LAN HL finals + higher div HL mixes) and not so serious environments (lobbies, div 5 scrims) as well as talking to him in mumble many times about this exact issue – he’s doing this because he knows he can. That may be foungi’s great weakness in some people’s eyes but I think it’s his greatest strength. He knows his limits, he can play creatively and not always be confined by the “meta” and he has the DM and I would argue the gamesense to pull off what some people would brand outrageous.
If you are reading these comments with a view to maybe giving this guy a trial then consider this. All you have to do is try him and see. If you think he’s an idiot then don’t put him on your team. However I think it would be very premature judgement to take some of the comments above as gospel. That’s my 2 pence on the issue – not that 2p is worth anything these days both figuratively and literally.

I dunno why people think what I wrote was me complaining or being passive aggressive, it’s just my genuine opinion as to what I think regarding the very legitimate concerns of people who haven’t played with him as much as me. Wrecks faces in div 4 games. Without a doubt a pickup for div 3 or higher, anyone telling you otherwise is probably a new recruit to the skill police who didn’t pay attention when they got spanked by their sergeant.

@fraac: if you look at how our team plays, you notice that i’m on the flank, since our pocket needs lots of heals. “srs bsnss” would result in me being a condescending asshole, making maptalks etc. i played my best, but 20% heals flank demo is not really a good strat, so i couldn’t take it that serious. that doesn’t mean tho that i was trolling, just playing a different role that kinda worked

div3 is atm accurate, indeed, but if a team in div2 doesn’t have a problem with giving a new demo 1-2 months (aka until the next season starts) to adjust, i’m in for that as well.
You out damaged people in div5 in the majority of your logs? Achievement get man. Well done. Why didn’t you out damage their demo in all of them? If you’re so strong then surely you’re team should realise they should be healing you more? It isn’t as though giving demo heals is a new meta or something.
The point (other than to continue baiting you) was just to highlight the fact that you said 20%. It isn’t 20% is it? You think div5 is a joke yet cannot carry you team to victory and the majority of your support comes from people who are div5 also making blind statements about how they perceive your skill because they think you’re “good”. You might well be good for a div5 demo but your post about jumping to div2/3 with no apparent idea just makes people laugh a little that’s all. Willing to make Div3 team with Foungi just so Rex has to degrade himself sexually.
Foungi is actually a good highlander demo and if he put effort in could be a good 6’s one as well. If it was 2/3 seasons back that would mean div4 but it is kind of hard to tell these days with the slow skill slide of the divisions.

Judging from the times I’ve played with him not only does foungi have the deathmatch required to play at higher levels, he also has an above average understanding of the game that most of you shittalking div 4 players seem to lack
Even if he does lack some knowledge, it is safe to assume foungi will pick it up relatively quickly considering how much he enjoys to play the game with other people who don’t have hearts circulating toxic blood in their veins
whatever happens, will always deserve a run in div 3

I specced him for almost the entirety of his official against a div 5 team where anyone looking for a demoman at div3+ level will realise that he has too much to learn to play there. I’m so confident in this that I’ve offered him a blowjob if he does. :D
That said if he works on his rollout, positioning, abundance of overextending, general lack of playing with the medic (probably comms too since he is often in the wrong place) then sure he might have a shot at div3/4 but the list above is basically what you need to be a good demoman, not “SICK HIGHLANDER DM”.

Love cake:
Ingredients
300 g semolina, lightly toasted
125 g butter
10 eggs, separated
400 g caster sugar
¼ cup grated crystallised pumpkin (see note)
80 g honey
185 g cashews, crushed
2 tbsp rosewater
¼ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp cinnamon
2-3 limes, zested
icing sugar, to serve
Cook’s notes
Oven temperatures are for conventional; if using fan-forced (convection), reduce the temperature by 20˚C. | We use Australian tablespoons and cups: 1 teaspoon equals 5 ml; 1 tablespoon equals 20 ml; 1 cup equals 250 ml. | All herbs are fresh (unless specified) and cups are lightly packed. | All vegetables are medium size and peeled, unless specified. | All eggs are 55-60 g, unless specified.
Instructions
Preheat oven to 200°C.
Place the semolina and butter in a tray. Place in oven until the butter has melted.
Meanwhile, whisk the egg yolks in a large bowl. Add the sugar and mix until combined. Stir in the crystallised pumpkin. Stir in the honey and cashews. Add the rosewater and stir to combine. Add the nutmeg and cinnamon and stir until the mixture is pale.
In a clean, dry bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Fold the egg whites into the cake mixture. Stir in the lime zest.
Add the semolina-butter mixture to the cake mixture. Pour into a tray lined with baking paper. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until firm to touch. Remove from oven and set aside to cool slightly. Dust with icing sugar and cut into slices to serve.

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a cashier hand this little boy some money back.
The boy couldn’t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.
The cashier said, “I’m sorry, but you don’t have enough money to buy this doll.”
Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ”Granny, are you sure I don’t have enough money?”
The old lady replied: ”You know that you don’t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.”
Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look a round. She left quickly.
The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.
Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.
“It’s the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas. She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her.”
I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her afterall, and not to worry.
But he replied to me sadly. “No, Santa Claus can’t bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.”
His eyes were so sad while saying this. “My sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.”
My heart nearly stopped.
The little boy looked up at me and said: “I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.”
Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me “I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won’t forget me. I love my mommy and I wish she doesn’t have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.”
Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.
I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. “Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?”
“OK,” he said, “I hope I do have enough.” I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.
The little boy said: “Thank you God for giving me enough money!”
Then he looked at me and added, “I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me!”
“I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn’t dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose.”
“My mommy loves white roses.”
A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.
I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn’t get the little boy out of my mind.
Then I remembered a local newspaper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl.
The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy?
Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young woman had passed away.
I couldn’t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.
She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.
I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed forever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.
