Highlander Season 17 – Wrap-up

The playoff games have ended and the winners have been crowned. The main season of Premiership was shown to be very promising and competitive, and in the end it was proven to witness the best players rise up and take the crown.

We want to give big congratulations to Super Dickmann's KANNONEN! as the winners of Premiership! With Feila eSports slim shady edition proving themselves to be the best second place team yet again. And finally we see GRAHAM GAMING having a fantastic first season placing 3rd.

Provisional Schedules

We kind of forgot to do these posts in the past 4-5 months (whooops), but by popular demand we will be publishing the schedule for the next 6 months of ETF2L seasonal competitions regularly- assuming it does not slip our minds again…
Anyway, the schedule will likely look as follows:

Season 32

Main Season: 27th January – 15th March
Playoffs: 17th March – 7th April

Highlander Season 18

Signups: 22nd February – 8th March
Premiership Qualifiers: 1st – 8th March
Publishing of Final Divisions: 9th March
Main Season: 10th March – 12th April
Break for Copenhagen Games
Playoffs: 21st April – 12th May

Season 33

Signups: 10th – 24th May
Premiership Qualifiers: 17th – 24th May
Publishing of Final divisions: 25th May
Main Season: 26th May – 12th July
Playoffs: 14th July – 2nd August

Based on the feedback we have gathered in the offseason and the public poll this week, we have decided that after 30 consecutive seasons of running several iterations of cp_badlands, it is time to bench this iconic map for now and give a new-old face another go: cp_logjam!

This season will feature the following maps:

• cp_sunshine
• koth_product_rc9
• cp_gullywash_final1
• cp_logjam_rc10a
• cp_process_final
• cp_granary_pro_rc8

Map Rotation:

• Week 1: cp_snakewater_final1 & cp_sunshine
• Week 2: cp_sunshine & koth_product_rc9
• Week 3: koth_product_rc9 & cp_gullywash_final1
• Week 4: cp_gullywash_final1 & cp_logjam_rc10a
• Week 5: cp_logjam_rc10a & cp_process_final

Rule Changes

Rule 1.8.2 will be edited and the nickname section will be edited into a general rule.

1.8.2 Premiership players are not allowed to change their ETF2L nickname while the relevant season is underway.

2.9 Players playing in matches casted by an org must use their real nicknames

All players who play in matches casted by an org must play with their ETF2L nickname. Team tags and sponsorship additions are allowed but the nickname must be the same as the nickname on ETF2L. The nickname should be easily recognizable at a glance. Each incorrect nickname will warrant a separate minor warning; a team can receive this punishment multiple times per game.

Preseason Playoffs

The following 6 teams will automatically get a spot into Premiership.
