ETF2L is looking for new Staff to recruit! Are you interested in supporting the league? Then click here for more details on what we can offer and how to apply!
After Broder and Rockit secured the automatic promotion spots, tonight plays host to the playoff game to decide the third team to be promoted to Division 1, SpecialAttack or Mister.
SpecialAttack had a strong performance this season, losing only one map to first place Broder. They were also the only team in their division to win a map against Broder, on cp_gorge. Should the game come to a third map tonight, their skill at cp_gorge will prove invaluable.
Mister lost two maps in the season, against first and third place Rockit and infernal Gamers. Perhaps crucially though, they beat SpecialAttack recently in the ETF2L 5th Cup. As an all Spanish team they’ll be hoping to make it to Division 1 to represent their country in a similar manner to TLR last season.
After receiving your nominations on the forum for two weeks, we have added up the results and now present to you the following polls to decide –
Medic of the Season
Soldier of the Season
Demoman of the Season
Scout of the Season
Sniper of the Season
Upcoming Talent of the Season
Fairplay Award (given to the team which displays the best sportsmanship)
Best team of each Division
The categories are based on the five most popular nominations (excluding some cases with draws or less then 5 nominations). We have also included polls for the best team in each division from two to six. The polls will close next Wednesday, with the winners being announced shortly afterwards. Follow the link below to go to the Season 7 award polls.
Good luck to all candidates and congratulations on making it to the poll phase!
Tonight comes the second match to decide who gets promoted to Division 2. Last week Dimegioclub overcame their season 7 form to beat Eternity over two maps. Now it’s the turn of Fragmative against Ragequit Black for the remaining spot.
The five-sixths Bulgarian team Fragmative finished on equal points with two other teams at the top of Division 3B. After losing their pre-playoff match against Team Vertex, they managed to take the playoff spot from Only Rockets Love You in a match that went the distance over 3 maps. They’ll be hoping to win tonight to continue their amazing streak, having been promoted from Division 5 in season 5 and Division 4 in Season 6.
Ragequit Black also took the long road to get to these playoffs; in a division where just five points separated the top six teams they finished equal second with International Special Force before despatching them over 3 maps in the pre-playoff.
