Season 14 powered by Twitch: broder vs Quarantine

ETF2L Season 14 powered by Twitch: broder vs Quarantine

After relatively silent two days it’s time to get back in business. Soon, we’ll get to see yet another week 5 match between two of the prominent Premiership teams, both with mathematically feasible chances of reaching the playoffs. Their roads towards glory will cross tonight, as Swegian broder will get to fight against Europe Quarantine. The Swegians (and company), making a comeback straight into Premiership this season, are one of the commonly expected candidates for a spot in the playoffs, as well as reasonable favorites to take the match. Many doubt that their opponents will manage to surmount the challenge, yet crossing them out already could prove to be a horrible mistake. Will Quarantine manage to steal points from Norway torden‘s crew?

Season 14 powered by Twitch: Epsilon eSports vs Pokeman

ETF2L Season 14 powered by Twitch: Epsilon eSports vs Pokeman

Let’s not kid ourselves, Europe Epsilon eSports are undeniably the strongest team around these parts. Their run for glory is yet to be disrupted this season and many believe they won’t drop a map in the next three matches they have yet to play. One of them, against Europe Pokeman, is going to happen tonight. Portugal Coinz and the crew have managed to show some decent results previously, we have yet to see if they can steal some points from their opponents this time. Hopefully we will get to watch an interesting clash tonight.

An Interesting Development

Date February 16, 2013

A new power is rising

TeamFortress.TV has been a shining star in the murky cloud of North American coverage for a long enough time to establish themselves as the world’s most popular casting organisation in barely a heartbeat. As of today the organisation is increasing its dominion over competitive TF2 and beginning coverage of the European scene alongside the amazing VanillaTV, finally providing some of the much needed competition we have all been asking for.

The stable of casters will include:

  • Former and current Premiership players such as UK Greg, UK kaidus, Germany ipz, and Sweden Zebbosai
  • Europe’s three times reigning caster of the season, Ireland Admirable, who will be lending us his golden voice
  • The enterprising Lithuania huhy  and Germany lexs (known for his efforts in casting with Premium TF2) on camera

Though he will not be officially joining the TeamFortress.TV staff, Netherlands Comedian has offered his assistance and should make some appearances behind the camera.

Helping out with some of the behind-the-scenes work including graphics and general production will be Scotland Skyride, who has done so much for this community at this point that to even trying to list his contributions would be a disrespect to him.

The first official cast has not been officially announced yet, so make sure to stay tuned to the schedule for details. The upcoming match between European Epsilon eSports and Germany Crack Clan looks pretty tempting, and that should be happening sometime in this coming week. We hope that you will support TeamFortress.TV to the fullness of your ability, as more competitive TF2 coverage is only good for you as a player and a spectator. Please officially welcome TeamFortress.TV to Europe! We wish them the best of luck in their endeavours; bonne chance!

BBall Cup #5 powered by Tt eSPORTS now entering the playoff stage!

“…that shot was a sound of alarm that brought every soldier in the harbor to his feet.”

While I do not hope you will stay on your feet forever (rocketjumps win games), I wish to announce the next round in our BBall Cup! Some teams like Portugal caLóóó (hats off to you good Sirs) finished so fast, they have been waiting for almost three weeks for the other teams to catch up! So now we shall clear the court once again!
However first let me quickly clear two questions which may come up: First, tied teams were ranked in a head-to-head record, while a single three way tie had to be played for one division. Second, as expected, the first of a division will be matched up against the second of another division and I tried to spread out teams as much as possible so you won’t be playing the same team anytime soon!

Now let’s take a look at the current situation, shall we? As a quick reminder:

  • Best of three maps (keep this in mind, your games will most likely take longer now!)
  • No ties for a single map when the map timer reaches zero (play a best of five rounds to decide a winner!)
  • Map, class limits and config stay the same

New times on the default dates!

Due to several requests the new default date times have changed from 20:30 to 19:00 CET.
If you can’t play at the default date just reschedule it with your opponent!

And while we are at it here the schedule for the next few rounds:

  • Round of 64: February 13 to February 16, 23:59 CET
  • Round of 32: February 17 to February 19, 23:59 CET
  • Round of 16: February 20 to February 23, 23:59 CET

Please remember every game missing a result when the deadline has come will be decided with a coin flip!

Prizes

Since it has been quite some time, here once again what we are fighting for:

Addendum to the special rules section

While the first should be no news to you, I would like to remind you of the following:

  • Since this is a 2v2 competition you will have at least 1 (main) player to play all the matches with his second player being from the roster. Anything else will be considered a merc and needs to be allowed by the opponents (if the main player is missing his replacement is considered a merc even if it’s a player from the roster!)

The second is to prohibit some lame play:

  • It is not allowed to deliberately drop the intelligence on top of any of the billboards / poles behind each basket.

As always, if you notice a rule break, pause and talk about it. However continue playing and the game afterwards.

Additional prize

Remember the additional Tt eSPORTS Knucker?

It’s mine now.

Just kidding – we are going with publish a news dedicated to this. It will contain a few questions for you to answer. Winner will be randomly selected of the group with the most correct answers!

Oh and maybe you could give Tt eSPORTS some likes for their support?
While you are at it – we could need some as well!
