for the record: a open team with a prem demoman complains about a unapproved merc until they get a default win.
Results: 3-1 for 6man on granary and 5-0 for the russians on badlands.
How to get into playoffs in open:
Step 1: collect 5 russians without any skill
Step 2: Abuse the etf2l ruleset and get a prem player to play for you
Step 3: Cry about enemies breaking rules to no extend until you get default wins
Step 4: Get rolled in the playoffs by other sandbaggers
Step 5: Go back to step 1

I simply love competetive TF2. It’s the greatest experience in my lifetime. I want to say thanks to all the cool players making this comp scene to the best thing there is. TF2 is not dead, just look at this, you can totally take all of this seriously! ♥

Windows 95 are ao legitimate open team. they trained and toiled for months to prepare for this season with not one of them being any higher than low open previously. I have nothing but respect for such a devoted and fair team. We need more teams like Windows 95 in Open, the kind of teams who start from nowhere and achieve something great. +rep Win95

Dear etf2l admin team: please do not come up with a reason that prevents people from sandbagging. It would ruin the fun from regular open teams because they are not able to blame the sandbaggers if they loose anymore. It would also be a shame if a open team actually wins the open division.

Seeing we couldn’t make playoffs the rules with mercs etc didn’t apply, we have already moved on and were trialing/testing new lineups for next season.
I do like to point out at this time that even with a prem demo they couldn’t win granary, meaning that DEMO UNDERPOWERED PLS BUFF.

K, well, this is funny. its been like 2 yeArs siNce i last played tf2 comp, come bacK to my first gamE, oh look its Russians….. Aaah maybe they have changed in the 2 years of absence, hear on mUmble, They have a prem demo… I’m like… how the fuck iS That EveN possible ???
oh well might as well have some fun… actually win granary, figured out whilst downloading the map that there as a new version (AGAIN???, if you can get it right the 2nd time just add in freight ffs).
still found out russians are aim heavy and hard to hit in a 1v1, but oh well it isnt really bothering me, because they still have the gamesense of a goldfish.
then we load up badlands, well we won the first map we might as well just fuck around.
start losing, and here is where you see the real russians. They start talking like they are the next big thing, thinking they are the best. throwing in some cyka blyats, idi nahuys. They win badlands. we’re like aah who cares badlands is an overplayed map where only russians can win on.
then you come here and see you get a default loss, like what the actual fuck…
We used death only when we have no other choice. Our main demo just leave us cause of his study and u said that u cant play another day (all russian demomans i know who match your requirements were busy or play same time). U didnt ask me about mercs before the game or just w8 ur teammates if its possible despite the fact that I said:
“16:53 – Porn Star: anyways, if u need mercs or move the match to another day we’ll try to adapt to you
16:53 – Palmer: nah, we are fine with tuesday at 20. in fact this is the only play we can play this week.”.
Then you just started to mock us in the game, despite the fact that we didnt do anything. And then insulted us at the end of the game. My team was a little bit angry after that and when they learned that u had unrostered player they asked me to write admin about this. I did it and didnt say anything to your leader. 1 min later he asked me about ur merc :S. You can blame me all you want and you’re right: I’m disgusting. GG guys, ur teamplay was much better than ours.
