Dear teams Thy Old Mercenaries of Teamwork and Fashion Horse Adventures

Please upload the demos of Lifebeat, Afirax, Littlepip and Yuval within 72 hours or face a penalty in accordance with the General ETF2L Rules.
You have to use the ETF2L demo upload system for archives under 60 MB, third party hoster links will be ignored.
Minor warnings for missing demos can be removed later after talking to an admin, as long as the minor warnings of your team did not stack up to a major warning yet.

2.4 Every player has to record Demos

Demos can be requested by an admin or any player of the opposing team.
Admins may request demos up to the end of the competition the match was played in (until the wrap up post is published). They can request as many demos as they require.
The opposing team can request demos up to 48 hours after the match was scheduled to start. They can request demos from up to 2 players, who will then have to provide their demos for all played maps.
A player whose demos have been requested has 72 hours to upload the demo, starting from the time the request was made.
Failure to supply a requested demo will be punished.

2.4.1 Penalties for not providing requested demos

Failure to supply a requested demo will result in one of the following penalties:
    – First time: Minor warning for the team. This warning can be removed once the requested demo is provided.
    – Second time: Major warning for the team. Player is banned for two weeks from all ETF2L competitions.
    – Third time: Player is banned for two months from all ETF2L competitions.

Penalties are applied if a requested demo is not provided within 72 hours. Major warnings and bans are not removable.

Thy Old Mercenaries of Teamwork have received two minor warnings for failing to provide the requested demos. They have also received a Major warning for collecting three Minor warnings. This warning cannot be removed.

Fashion Horse Adventures have received two minor warnings for failing to provide the requested demos. These warnings can be removed by uploading the demos and contacting an admin through IRC, as long as the warnings did not stack up to a Major warning yet.

It would be nice if the demo request was sent as a challenge too, am I seriously expected to check the match comms for every game every day after the season is already over?

  6. piotrek63: BowDown said:

Well we can’t provide the demos because both Littlepip and Lifebeat cleared out their demo folders because the season is over. Being asked to provide demos a month after the game is ridiculous considering the other team only has 48 hours to request one, how are we supposed to know they will still be needed? That and I wasn’t notified of the request in any way in the first place, the request wasn’t sent as a challenge so I didn’t get an e-mail.

So to summarise, the demos are requested 17 days after the game itself, that’s long past the time the demos can be requested, the season was already practically over, and who would check the game comms from 17 days back to check for stuff like this? And this way my team just gets two stealth minor warnings? That’s just fucking ridiculous.

Have to agree with guzenn here, why would I be checking random matches that occurred weeks ago? One of those players wasn’t even on our roster when you made that request. I don’t really care about the warnings, but you really should change the system so that people are notified about these demo requests.

Am I gonna get banned for 2 weeks if I don’t get the demo?
