Why hasn’t he been on their roster all season then? in fact, why are 2/6 of their players that aren’t part of their team on their roster? Also, why on earth would you only have 6 people on your roster FOREVER, especially when you have such a changing roster of actual players?
we weren’t the ones ‘naive’ enough to think having 6 on a roster would be fine and only inform the other team you need 2 mercs 40 mins before the game, we’re not unfair, we’re playing by rules, and as for being bad, we have never lost to punchline, so can you stop spamming the thread with your frankly terrible reasoning, you’ve not had a full team for most of this season, you’ve had ages to sort it out. gg

Having 6 players on your roster means that you’re pretty stable (a word hardly heard in TF2 ..), meeting team that don’t argue for a merc is also current. Loosing one of their Soldier during lock time and not finding a new suitable medic before lock time is for once, really unlucky … But you don’t seem to understand and making any effort to make this match a fair one.

I was recruited as their medic as soon my previous team in div5 (Punchline Moustache) was done with its season 9 games (I wanted to complete what we started no matter what). Been playing with them since then in the french league, and will also attend to the french lan finals in july with the Punchline team.
Until now I was quite a fan of the Crack Clan, knowing some old members and never had a bad experience with you guys nor any other cc roster, but not anymore. Not allowing 2 div5 mercs in a top div4 game… whatever.
This being said, it was your right to deny me and and another merc. It’s your move, there’s no point arguing about it. Good luck next season.

Sorry rest of Crack Clan, but I’m with Punchline on this one. Could have shown that there are still nice people left in the tf2 community and allowed 2 mercs
No offence towards blue team btw, they had every right to do what they did, it’s just not what I would have done.
Kind of a dickmove, cc//. Should’ve just let them use both considering Kustom was in their team and wanted to finish the S9 officials with his old team. Especially considering Kustom’s previous team was Div5.
Enef, don’t talk nonsense. How is it fair to force them to play 5v6 because their new recruit wanted to end things curteously with his old team? Allowing them 2 mercs, from Div5 no less, isn’t unfair. It’s just good sportsmanship.
As Mik said, you’re fully entitled to do so, it’s within the rules after all. Just don’t be surprised when people call you out on the lack of sportsmanship.

Okay CC had the right to do what they did, but seriously, massive dick move, instead of being complete dicks about it they could of rescheduled, but instead give the other team a disadvantage and get an easy win. real ‘sportsmanship’. if this was flipped the other way CC would be crying their eyes out.
Its a game who cares, if this happened to us I honestly wouldnt bother because it would be our fault for leaving things 40 minutes before the official started. If Punchline are good enough they will play in div 3 next season.
I don’t normally do this, but this is a piss take, cc blue following the rules to the letter and not excersizing any common sense.
Their “second merc” wasn’t even a frickin merc, he was on Punchline’s team, just not on their ETF2L roster. He was only a merc by technicality.
Punchline are good enough to play d3 next season anyway so it won’t -actually- make a difference, it’s still ridiculous though :D
We could and would have rescheduled but A) they never offered to and B) the deadline is this weekend and chances are they couldn’t have played by then either, they’ve not had a full line up all season.
As Ash mentioned, they asked for one merc the day before the match at which point we said okay, then they tried telling us that their medic (who isn’t on their roster) is actually on their roster but not showing up on the roster page on etf2l. At which point i decided to have a look through their previous games. They’ve not had a solid 6 since week 2, they have had ample time to recruit a new medic and 6th in that entire time. We decided not to allow two mercs,something we have done THROUGHOUT the season, in fact, it’s a rule of ours not to allow two mercs as you wouldn’t be playing their team but only 2/3rds of it.
Say what you want, 80%+ of the tf2 community would do the same and we are entirely justified in denying two mercs. There is nothing unsportsmanlike about saying no to mercs, so people saying it is unsportsmanlike of us to do that are idiots. Sure it may not be the nicest thing to have to play it like they did and we did feel bad about it but as i said earlier we would have been open to the option of rescheduling but regardless, they still would not have had players.
Look through their match history, look through their chat logs they posted and look through our match history. We would have had no issue rescheduling or allowing a single merc but we play to the rules and we play to our personal beliefs and rules too.
It wasn’t 2 mercs you fuckwit.

In our season game, we allowed div2 top medic merc for punchline, i cant see any problems allowing medic mercs. But thats just me. Bad game :)
