just play other classes and then you’ll realise how to beat them as a scout
Basically what you need to do is to care about the distance you are from the soldier. If you are at mid distance just keep it on the ground and try to lower the distance between him and you by jumping around and try to always be a little more higher than him or you’ll be fucked. At close distance just jump like a badass and meatshot him and always try to be on higher ground than him ( just try to do it all the time ) and don’t be afraid of using your pistol, it’s very useful against soldier.
When against a demo never jump, it’s easier for him to hit you when you’re jumping, just strafe and try to get coser to him everytime he fires a pipe and rush him when he’s out of it. When he’s using his sticky launcher you have to rush him if he didn’t notice you otherwise just stay mid distance try to hit some damage and close the distance by being very careful of the stickies.
Finally against scout, just spam q and d, but you can also jump when you’re out of ammo, works well.
Anyway, it’s just tips, don’t overthink it when you’re playing or it’ll be awful, and gl.
Only jump scout vs scout if you are really close (player model max). At longer ranges it just makes you a sitting (flying!) duck.
not the best idea, unless you REALLY need to get in his face (lack of time or w/e), to get really close up to the demo. even if he is out of pipes he can still reload one and often you’ll end up with 20 hp after the kill instead of 120

he’ll usually kill you with stickies if you try to fight mid range… or at least use the stickies to buy time/escape.
stickies are far more dangerous than pipes.

not really no, if he switches to stickies pretend youre going in for a meatshot then get out when he pulls out pipes
dont jump, strafe randomly left right , or try to get in the blind spot (run in the opponents side) -vs scouts
dont jump – demomans
use height advantages, dont double jump left right (same pattern) – solly
for all classes be gay as fuck and come from behind or shot at them when they are focussing a different target

if the opponent scout just dodges left and right try to get next to him so it looks like he is moving back and forth – easy meatshots
vs Scout = spam a and d
vs Soldier = jump a lot and move unpredictably
vs Demo = just run w into his face
vs Medic = olol no skill needed, bat him

why do people persist in saying w m1ing in the demos face is good
For me as a demo, doulbejumping scouts on mid and close range are easier to kill.
