A new laptop

I need a decent laptop for around 600€ that runs video games playably. Doesnt have to be all maxed out or anything, even low settings are okay. Something around 15″ would be good I guess. An okay battery life would be nice aswell so I can watch movies on it on my way home. Any recommendations would be very welcome.

I currently use the Acer 5755G with Core i7. Its pretty good, can run most games decently on medium/high (I run BF3 on medium/high settings), moderate weight. Its also durable as fuck, but I haven’t tried dropping it and never will. Thrown around in my bag, maybe, but not dropped.

I personally love this laptop, its so cheap and yet so good for portable gaming (and blu-ray!) compared to overpriced Alienware stuff.

In what country are you living at the moment? :) I have a few suggestions, but of course you would wanna order from your own country, so I will need to compare prices first.
What games will you play btw? Only TF2, or will play games like Crysis 2, Battlefield and other demanding games?
I live in finland, but I can do the price checking myself once I get some suggestions.

Can’t use a desktop pc during the weeks, which is why I’m looking for a laptop that can run games playably.
i am also buying a laptop soon, with a budget around 941 euro, or so, i was wondering if there were any good recommendations, other than whats already been said.

How is that gpu for games? Based on benchmarks low/mid quality usually runs above 60fps so it should be fine I presume? I can get it for 500€ so it kinda seems like a bargain.

Well I play TF2 on almost-maxed out graphics with that. 1GB might not seem powerful, but I bought it when it was first released and so far it plays most graphic-intensive games on a pretty good constant 60fps on medium (120 on low or on custom configs). Except for TF2, frame drops so randomly I don’t even know if its the server or me, but fps_max 0 fixes it for me.

where did you find that for 500€? i’m guessing cdon?
also, any noticeable differences between the 5755g and 5750g? also wondering if they have any problem with overheating while gaming.
