msi z68A-g45 (g3) mainboard
i7 2600k sandy bridge processor
geil 8gb ddr3 -1333 black dragon memory
in my old setup my pc boots normaly, but when i installed my new components, it will start but i dont hear a beep, the fans are running, and i see the led lights on my memory and 1 blue led light on my mainboard.
my dvd player wont open and my hdd wont start.
when i tested it again on my old setup everything worked fine.
(psu = ocz 600ssx 600 watt and i have a 9800gtx videocard )
does anybody know what the problem might be ?
If you by mainboard mean motherboard, you need to reinstall windows whenever you replace your motherboard.
Only on rare occasions will a pc start when replacing the motherboard without reinstalling windows.
first thing to do is take the new set-up apart and put it back together. All kinds of weird shit happens if something isn’t settled in properly.

even with the harddrive not connected is still wont boot, it doesnt even make the normal beeping sound
i read on some forums, that the issue probaly is my psu, its quite old, and the reason it wont boot is because the cpu isnt getting enough power

I am so sorry great oracle
Also, maybe it’s your BIOS not working correctly.
Maybe you didnt attach the cables to the HDD and DVD drive correctly, or try using new cables or something?

i tried resetting the cmos, but also didnt work,
the thing is, the fans are spinning, the led on the memory sticks are glowing, but thats about it
well allmost on every forum that i stumble upon they say that the cpu isnt getting enough power, thats why your pc wont boot/post, so im now off to the store to buy a new psu, i’ll let you know if it worked when i come back and tried it again
