Yao yao.
I have a strange problem with steam.
When I try to execute tf2 client, start steam validating files, and…when that finish…stuck 100% validating steam files. And i can’t play…TT
> Restart PC.
> Restart Steam
> Restart steam validating files
> Delete clientregistry.
What else?
What r7an said, it will say complete when it’s done.

delete everything from your steam folders , excepted :
steamapps folder
steam.exe
then launch steam.exe
you may want to save the userdata folder as it contains all your fav’ servers
I had the same problem. Save all your plugins and cfg’s and reinstall the whole game. was the only solution i found. but it worked fine again afterwards.
Make a backup of the TF2 files. Uninstall the game. Install again from the backup.
This is honestly the only thing that helps for me.
