I have no idea what is wrong with Wordpress, but it hates me. I cannot tolerate it, there are just too many things that it doesn’t do, and functioning in general is one of them:

Dashboard > Upload Demo:
1) The “Fixture” scrolldown menu is broken. It is blank, completely.

Dashboard > Map Pool:
1) The entire thing is empty. It tells me to select a competition, and there is nothing else. No scrolldown, no link, no place to enter what competition. There are no maps, either.

Dashboard > Challenge
1) Open challenges that were not accepted disappear. I’m told that all history remains in the dashboard.
2) Sent Challenges: The leader of my group (I am the second admin) submitted 4 challenges. I only see 2.
3) Under the CHALLENGE TEAM headline, the scrolldown menus to select the team I want to challenge, and the 3 maps to challenge them on, are all blank and broken.

1) Yes, I am an admin for my group
2) Yes, I did try waiting the problem out and/or trying on another web browser. Still broken.
3) Currently using Mozilla Firefox, and Safari when I attempted to get the dashboard to work on another browser.

PLEASE tell me what on earth is wrong with my Wordpress dashboard.

Upload demo
Select a competition first with the Competition drop-down box. THen all the other fields will populate. (waiting 5 seconds helps sometimes :) )

Map Pool
This feature is currently not is use for any competitions, that’s why it’s empty. You don’t need to use it.

Challenges
I’m not 100% up to speed with how the ladder/challenge internals work, but I’ll do my best.

1) Open challenges disappear when their time has passed and they’re not accepted. The idea behind an open challenge is that you put up a challenge for a specific time, so that an opponent, who also wants to play on that same date/time can accept it. SO yea, if that day went by, the challenge will disappear because it would be meaningless.

2) Of those 4 challenges you mentioned, only 2 were made on the highlander ladder, so coming from your highlander team (These are the ones you can see)
The other 2 challenges you are referring to were made on the regular 6v6 leader, for the 6v6 team with the same name: http://etf2l.org/teams/10502/ (I’m not sure, bit I think this might have been a mistake on Pwnage’s side) As you’re not even in the 6v6 team, naturally you won’t see those challenges.

3) This kinda falls under the same category as your very first question. Your mileage may vary with different browsers/different types of patience. This fancy system we have with the drop-down boxes has had it’s best time. It’s worked fine for years, but with our current size (and the buttload of teams in the highlander ladder), it’s starting to fail more often. What we need is a replacement system that is more robust, but if that’ll ever be realized, who knows..

So yea, drop downs are buggy right now, I sadly have no other option for you than to make the best of it. I know Opera and Chrome work much better due to them just having a better JavaScript engine. (I use Opera myself). But you shouldn’t need to change browser really. The problem should be resolved at our end. Sadly, for a volunteer project with pretty much no active coders, development is pretty much nonexistant.

Edit Adam: he does have all the access he needs. A Deputy can do the same as a Leader ;)
