try one of the drivers from http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
(even if the name says laptop)
the drivers there should work with any version of your gfx card.
Hey man maybe try underclocking your graphics card. Might have to lower to dx 8.1 but it will fix the problem if the cards overheating
It’s your graphics card overheating and the GPU resetting, I had the exact same thing with my old card although I had flame textures instead of rainbows :)
@icey
I tried older versions but they don’t work either…
@RareSpycrab
I’m already playing on dxlevel 80 too so I dunno… :/ Probably not my problem
@Vazzan
The graphic card isn’t overheating, I checked. Though I get flaming textures too sometimes. Sometimes everything’s just pure white or sometimes I can’t see anything at all while moving etc. etc.
@I am a pirate YARRRRRRR
I’ll try that, thanks. I’ll tell you how it works out.

Happened to you != happening to him, there are multiple reasons that something like this could happen, to so firmly attribute it to overheating without any evidence of that is a bit careless.

Same here. Eventually it was fixed with driver updates. Seems to happen most with 9600 and 4850 cards (just google display driver stopped working).
That looks like a mix between robot unicorn and tf2! Good luck fixing it mate.. sounds like a faulty graph card or something. Tried to find something on the inet concerning it, but didnt find any solutions.

Tried installing the drivers I am a pirate YARRRRRRR suggested but apparently the setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with my current hardware… yay
There goes one possible solution :(
@Noeandee
Thanks for trying :D unfortunately already been there and didn’t really find anything either
Used to get that with my 8800 GTS before upgrading, was a heat-issue for me.
You say it never used to happen, surprised nobody’s suggested it yet, but roll back the drivers to last update (and if you can’t, uninstall, and reinstall an older version).
Looking at that though, I wouldn’t be surprised if the card is dying, how old is it?
Hmm I wonder, whenever I had a problem with my graphics card (and only the graphics card), the graphics were screwed, but never ever did my sound loop / stop, even if the rest froze.
So I assume it might also have to do with your motherboard. But I can’t say for sure of course. You might try and update your motherboard drivers.
Have you checked all the other temperatures of your computer (CPU and so on)? Oh and you might wanna open up your computer and get rid of all the dust inside. That helps once in a while, too.
Other than that, I can’t think of anything else.
Your best bet would be to narrow the problem. Maybe you have a friend who could help you, exchange your graphics card and test if the problem persists. At least that’s what I would do before buying a new graphics card, just to find out that it didn’t solve the problem.
i fucking want rasta windows
@Cloud
Tried that, doesn’t work. Also no idea how old the card is exactly. Might actually really be just dying on me :(
@Fox
Everything else runs fine on the computer. I tired using my friends graphic card and it worked fine, though we couldn’t test mine in his computer because it’s a tiny bit too big…
So in the end my graphic card is dying and there is no way around it other than buying a new one? :/
