That’s so true, it’s funny because in a recent game I fluked a 5-man at 2nd – by the time I pushed on to third to recap the entire enemy team had respawn – so all we gained was a choke at yard. In other words a clutch move ended with us gaining about 30 feet and no real advantage
Yeh, it’s like, just got a 5man, let’s push! Oh… wait… they are all back. Whereas in cod4, if you clutch a round you don’t gain pathetic amounts of ground, you win a round.
Most people who are shit at them say that.
So much more fun than tf2 imo, one of the reasons i enjoy it more is that clutch situations are possible, you rarely see a 1v6 takedown, and i mean like, ONLY ONE PERSON v 6, not a scout getting 6 kills while his victim is already low/fighting someone else.
I can’t carry my team by myself in TF2 waaah
CoD4 comp is decent, I played a lot of pugs and mixed a bit when the game was new, but it gets old fast and isn’t nearly as exiting as TF2, QL or similar games
tbh “respawn waves” should be removed from competitive tf2 – each death should have a set time for a set point and no deaths should respawn faster than 10 seconds or whatever

Have fun attacking the last point on any given map then.

also there should be bomb sites and ak and awp.

awp is the new demoman upgrade, you heard it here first folks
My baitometer exploded.
yes it is indeed a lot more fun letting rounds be decided by “clutch” moments rather than tactical knowledge and well executed teamplay.
I mean, isn’t that what competetive gaming is all about? clicking your mouse like a retard hoping you get a headshot which will randomly kill some dude because you got lucky with the insane spread and you camp like a little bitch, or you sneak up on somebody and you see him before he sees you and you kill him because of that. Yes that is much better.
Reason tf2 is “dieing” is because fps players in general lack the brain capacity to really understand a game as complex as tf2.

I get where you’re coming from, but you can’t argue tf2 is more complex then other games… You’re right though, it’s far better in my opinion to play a game that involves executing teamwork rather then getting “lucky” sprees ect.
cod4 faster pace + pretty graphics make it easily look better than tf2 to anyone who is undecided about what game to pick and become good at.
Its not even about the game itself but objectively knowing how cod4 matches flow and considering how bigger the community/support are, its pretty easy to understand why tf2 is considered inferior by so many players… but consider also that cod has a huge history while tf2 is totally new with its setup.
On topic: massive butthurt by me for this delay… I cant wait to play the game
pretty graphics ? lol in multiplayer like half of your screen is filled with text
makes me wanna puke tbh
same here but we are a minority

So when your playing the new cod competitively you will have the graphics on full!? Also TF2 looks very pretty… its style and the way it is implemented makes it the better looking game.

TF2 is considered inferior by so many players!? That is utter crap… so many players are probably too stupid to understand what is happening in a game. Take S&D for example… oh so i have 1 life, and i have to plant this bomb… sounds just like the previous 5 cod titles + cs + fear.
Notice i said FEAR, fear has a pretty big multiplayer game yet still being an 18 Rated. Maybe that is why it isnt that big. If you took away all of the u15’s playing in the cod scene then i would like to compare cod with tf2, then look at maturity levels from both of the large scenes.
but consider also that cod has a huge history while tf2 is totally new with its setup.
TFC Release date(s) 7 April, 1999
CoD1 Release date(s) October 29, 2003
TFC have been doing this longer than the cod series.
