Mmm I used to play it but only really racing. The weapons always felt really clunky and boring to use.
But yea movement was fun.
great game, atleast i can own eoN^ @ 1st time playing ;P

I played it aswell on CA but movement being annoying and couldn’t get to do it in 5 mins so I gave up since I played q3/cpma which has way better movement ofc !

Nah i think Warsow has the best movement ive ever tried, because it just takes all and puts it together so nicely :D
Like you can get away with bhopping cs style if your not to good at strafe jumping (like me) and still get enough speed to dodge a few insta gib shots.
Its a great game tbh, defo in my top5 favorite games :D probs in top3

Daft question but have you properly tried it? Like had someone show you the things you can do with dash etc? Not trying to imply anything but the dash is one of my favorite features in Warsow and i think its also the games best feature.
I use it to dodge wall jump to gain speed in beginning..

Use it to turn on the spot, so going in the oposite direction, use it to bounce off walls.
Play bipbeta and youll see what i mean (instagib) and fire off a landing pad and get up some speed, jump off the walls and just keep building and building, youll love it :DD
just add me on steam and ill find a good server and show you ^^
Also see the slanted things like / dash up them to get alot of speed and if you land right on one and dash you can go very high and very fast :)

Still, I really enjoy this game. Played it for around a year or something , and it still amuses me.
Though, I really hate the weapons… Or, can’t really find a strong enough word for it..
The weapons feels slow, and I really hate the whole “super ammo” thing. But the movement is really lovely.
I wouldn’t choose Wsw over CPMA at any point, not even over QL or vq3 because of the huge disadvantage and chunkyness of the weapons (feels like hiiiigh interp even with a proper config). If the weapons were as responsive as the movement warsow would probably hit it off better.

The most important protip for everyone who wants to play the game: You can hold down space to bunnyhop!
As fallen said rEJ have been playing this for a few days, and it’s lots and lots of fun :) The servers were a mix of complete beginners and amazing pros. It’s fun just to watch the really good players dart around, on some more open levels they’re practically flying. The levels have very amusing names. The movement is pretty simple to pick up and with a high skill ceiling, but even after a couple days most of us could accelerate a respectable amount. Going fast makes you feel really cool!
The weapon switching with the mousewheel is backwards and doesn’t feel right. The game plays better once you assign a key for each weapon you want to use, or playing instagib. In the regular game mode I just used the riotgun(big shotgun) because every time i switched weapon it didn’t switch to the one i wanted, so I figured I’d just play like a scout and bounce everywhere with a shotgun.
Anyway yeah, I highly recommend, it’s fun to play and it’s fun to watch people play!
