Sign-ups for Titanfall Beta are open

Apart from the bug where you can’t get 120hz unless you use vsync with triple buffering its great fun ( play at 60hz, cause vsync blows). The movement is SICK.

It runs on the source engine so I’m pretty sure they will sort out the 120hz issue.

Well there is no server browser right now, but I ping ~17ms which is pretty good. No noticable lag.

edit: lol seems the servers just went down :D (think they are updating)

edit2: If they have proper custom games (and with weapon limiting for example) + demo support I can see this turn into a competitive game. The movement is what Brink should have been.

I have less than fond memories of EA’s atrocious customer support and the Origin client scanning all of my hard drives for murky reasons. Not sure if anything can be worth installing that abomination again.

Enjoying this too – the smart pistol is a bit lame but it’s a very fluid game and the movement doesn’t feel forced at all. I love that it’s 5v5, so glad they didn’t feel the need to ram it full of 32/64 players – 5v5 feels like each individual can make a significant difference and stops the game being too busy.
