You should hunt him down and avenge yourself. What else is there to do in Day Z than hunt players anyway?

for those that aren’t aware (i presume shin is) the hatchet works like an extremely short range gun in dayz, hence the bullet sounds when you swing it and the bullet holes on corpses. The more you know.

we all completed a big run of berezino earlier today but got scattered n separated afterwards, so it ended up with me and minimoose in cherno trying to find our way back to our campsite. after a bit shintaz and his mate sean decided to head to cherno to pick us up, and we meet up with commanderx. run ’round, loot the fuck out of everything, get some nice guns and a shitload of medical supplies and we decide we gots enough so we’re running out of cherno through the east

and then minimoose gets sniped. and then commanderx. so it’s me and shintaz, and sean is somewhere still in the town with his friend and is nowhere near us. we know the dude who sniped us is up on the hill near the river and me and shin are looping up opposite sides to pinch him. then shintaz finds out it ain’t one dude, it’s four. i time out of game at this point (been getting “no message received for xx seconds” messages all night),and then when i get back in, shintaz nabs him a nice four kill.

we’re looting the bodies when all a sudden, shintaz goes down. hacking pricks made their way back, had good guns and fully kitted inventories. sean’s on his way now and i’m in (bad) position looking for them to take down with 4 bullets in my revolver. shintaz gets good spawn by cherno and rushes back to the hill to try to loot his shit back and goes down again. meanwhile, in a particular fit of patheticness i’m underneath the bridge on the cherno outskirts proned and iron sighted trying to pick off someone. i try to crouch up because i think i see something and need to move, and i bash my head off the underside of the bridge which breaks both of my legs and fuckin knocks me out cold.

wait out my timer, morphine, bandage, painkillers and sean is in position on the hill by now. the idiots also aggro’d every zombie for miles and they’re getting molested in the trees up there, and shintaz gets ANOTHER spawn near cherno and is running back. he gets there to the hill right as i’m pushing the lower and sean is pushing the upper and shintaz instantly starts yelling “I’M FRIENDLY I’M FRIENDLY” on mic and they say “WE’RE FRIENDLY TOO, THERE’S GUYS SHOOTING AT US!”

sean walks up behind one of them and pumps him three times in the face with a double barrel shotgun and i snipe a dude with my revolver and he gets finished off by a zombie. we’re trying to reposition and chase the other two dudes, and i see them fly by accompanied by 15 zombies as they’re trying to get into cherno proper with no ammo, and we peace out back to our camp.

this was after a day in which a successful loot run in berezino ended (for me) when i ran into a stairwell that someone was standing on top of, and the impact of that killed me instantly.

pretty much the best game ever, fellas. buy it.
