They still hope to re-unite the css and cs community, thats why they are listening to both.
But ask any 1.6 player and they prefer to have 1.6+shiny graphics, ask any css player and they want css with some graphical improvement.
By listening to both communities they do risk dividing them even more, but that will all be dependant on how good the beta gets received initially.
Seen so far from nvc’s utoob the game looks good but a bit call-of-duty ish.
Good thing there planning an open beta in the new year :D
I think I can wait for it.
After all its just COD with a different name :P

Selling 2 kidneys, mildly damaged, will trade for decent unusual.
What’s all the hype about dota2? It’s just dota + shiny graphics.
But that’s just a shit game anyway.
CS:GO is a decent shooter at least.

CS is a good shooter but there isn’t a wide enough opinion on GO to class it as a decent shooter (yet). Could be crap for you never know.
And then doesn’t that mean that CS:GO is just CSS or 1.6 + better GUI and graphics?
unless they remove all the slow ass mechanics its gonna be the same boring game 1.6 was

CS:GO is CSS+1.6 and better graphics/gui, but will the combination of css and 1.6 parasitic or symbiotic?
