So the last 2 weeks i’ve only been playing pcws with 100+ ping.
I never have bad ping on public servers (in anywhere in europe), it always just rises as soon as I join a clanwar server after about 20.00cet then goes okay at a few hours later.
My useal ping on NL servers is about 30-50 but now its 100-138, and I have no idea what’s causing it, it’s pissing me off.
Does anyone have any idea of why this is happening?
do you have like some downloadlimit ?
some internetproviders do this on their slower connection so it goes to low bandwith after downloading like 10-20Gig
if not, u playing wireless?

playing = downloading
playing alot = alot of downloading
when you installed your internetrouter and all that, they should have given you pages with details on how to check your internet connection (through their own website), try to find those papers and log in, check if there’s anything there?

because playing TF2 actually costs a lot of bandwidth? pls, you consume more looking for tonights jerk off material than weeks or months of actual gaming
call support, ask them to disable interleave rate

Happens to me at around 7pm to 11pm. Wireless internet sucks.
I’ve been getting it too. I’m on wireless though. With Virgin Media, never had any problems with them before, but they say it’s not their fault.

Yeah i’ll call support tomorow and see if their fixing it
are you on cable by any chance?
that could simply be that, during peak time, many people are using internet in your area and your performance drops. my cable was 10mbit during the day, then dropped to 1-2mbit during the evening with my ping going from 5 to 60 to my first hop.

lol @ thinking FP will fix this issue
Call your ISP and report the problem, there’s two options then. They can either test the modem and do a level history test and possibly test for packet loss at that moment already. If a problem is found then, the necessary action will be taken, if they don’t find the problem at that exact moment, you’ll have to call them when the problem is present, if the problem is coming from their side, no doubt it’ll show up then.
Or your virusscanner/protectionshit is updating everyday on 20:00 CET! (or something alike)
