Hey guys, im looking to learn Dutch,(want to speak it fluently in the future) and I was wondering if anyone else has had any success with a CD-ROM resource or book etc and could reccomend them. Im an ignorant Englishman with a really bad accent who cant pronounce anything btw.

I assume you can already swear in dutch? Whole tf2 community can do that. :D

You probably mean slet. Using “kanker” to swear is only for 14 year olds and people that have failed at life.

Sad but true!
According to my (English) gf, you cannot learn Dutch from a cd/book/etc. The best way to learn a language is to be forced to listen to/speak it (i.e. move to holland, or somewhat less extreme, find dutch double mixes (if they exist?)).
A proper course does help, but is also not very cheap.
