I can’t find anything for myself, hence why I especially asked the 3 pros of etf2l, you, animal and trollride ^^

Just specced that up, spoke to him on steam.
The Radeon cards in Crossfire
The 3x 750GB HDD’s in RAID 5 (for speed)
SSD for windows
Probs could get a cheaper PSU, but i’d go with that one if i was in his shoes.
(and yes, i am aware i forgot to put a DVD drive there, so add £15)

any chance you could find a sub for the ATI cards and instead get nVidia? Or is that stupid, as they’re, as far as i’ve heard, better when it comes to the “high end” shit.

Bullshit… worst part is, you even know it yourself… You’re doing it really wrong because you do got brains and you’re still influenced by marketing.
It’s just this typicall marketing between ATI and Nvidia that keeps both of them dominating the GPU market. In these economies, no one can keep monopoly for himself, but sharing a monopoly position with a second company is THE formula for containing your position and keeping it almost impossible for a third company to invade your monopoly on long terms.
Can’t you see that the marketing plans of both ATI and Nvidia can be seen as one ? They perfectly time their releases, first Nvidia… then ATI, then Nvidia… Then ATI etc.. With almost allways an identicall period of time between them. And with allmost allways the same amount of price/performance in difference. This way they optimize the selling of their products.
Same story @ Intel and AMD I guess…
You can ignore my speculations but you can’t ignore the fact that neither Nvidia or ATI got the better cards. It’s just the moment you pick to look at the facts that will tell you it is Nvidia or ATI that has the better card.
And btw,
ATI got the best card ( 5970 ) and Nvidia got the best GPU ( GTX485 )
Can’t ignore that.
Thank you, come again.
btw…….. This is what everyone needs now days: even affordable these days:
Put steam and OS on one of those and throw away your SSD and enjoy.

all of my cards are nvidia because i don’t eat ati’s bullshit
the difference is marginal and you pay a lot more for not a lot more in the quality department. it’s the same as intel — intel make the better chip but they charge extortionate amounts because they know people have to pay it to get the best chip out. the same goes for amd/ati, they have the best card, and they know it.
the 5970 is superior in performance to the 485 in almost every respect aside from CUDA, but you might as well get nvidia.
however, the last time i looked this thread was basically “hi, i have a shit ton of money”, so ATI wins here, i’m afraid.
STOP DODGING LAN YOU FAG
