What makes me laugh is when their flame clearly isn’t reaching me as I retreat as scout, yet they continue to fire it out as the distance ever increases; it doesn’t occur to them to switch weapons, or even perhaps switch targets. It’s like playing aganist bots on easy mode or something, sometimes I wonder if there really is a person behind the controller, or what kind of sad case actually is controlling it.
I had a moment on turbine the other week as scout, a pyro chased me from their spawn stairs all the way through middle, through our main, through our spawn up our spawn stairs, into our vent. He surely would of carried on forever if it wasn’t for the engineer who had a sentry, an engineer, I might add, that spent 4 hours on the server hitting that same sentry with a wrench every few seconds.
Anyone can rush thru public maps, burning cloaked spies and even killing some innocent engs. That’s skill, ye. Not worth breaking mouse.
Pub pyros are nabs…they keep burning even if they cant reach you or they burn around if they get shooted from distance (so sad)…like you are sniper,you headshot him (he is still alive) and he spams around with fire like you were near him…

Tbh makes sense to me to spam flames around the place if you’re under attack and retreating or cant make the kill with shotgun.
I always found it harder to shoot pyro’s who are obscuring their position with flames, much in the same way it can be tough to rail someone in quake if they’re spamming lines of plasma in/around your face because it obscures an accurate view/line of sight on the player.
Wounder when valve is actually is gonna do something about this damn annoying class. Its so f***** up.

Nah they’ll never change it, it alongside the engineer and heavy provide entry level gaming for non fps gamers and also provides lesser skilled players the ability to be useful for a team, players who otherwise would grow tired of playing against higher skilled players. Similar thing happened in QW, the scene got so good that newbies were totally overwhelmed; no fresh blood and the scene died.
