Hi, I’m recording for a new movie and have run into a problem that I can’t seem to fix.

When watching demos at normal speed with host_framerate 0, everything looks fine.

As soon as I set host_framerate 200, and startmovie “name”, every 30-40 frames there will be 1-2 frames that are way out of place and very noticeable (a rjing soldier will skip 10 feet up and then back down)

It’s very noticable once put together in VirtualDub, and although I can remove the frames, I end up spending about 20 minutes removing frames from a 30 second clip :x

I have not changed any network settings in my network config, so I’m very confused. Any help would be great!

edit: i have tried many different host_framerates, the same problem happens each time

if it’s a sourcetv demo, then it’s understandable. Everyone’s got the same there. You could try
– removing the frames
– setting interp to 0.0625 as anakin suggested
– screaming out loud like me
that’s about what i tried.

Nah, they’re POV demos

Still jittery :(

Well, I kinda fixed it. Turns out the guy I’m doing the movie for gets pretty low fps, so I have to set host_framerate 90 MAX or it starts lagging everywhere. I still get occasionally laggy models :(
