Personally I really enjoyed the Arx + Beta commentary, good effort there. Properly LOL’d at the scene with the flying medic being meatshotted by the scout.
Exfanes clip reigned supreme, with carnage as scout in a close 2nd imo.
Exfane shoulda got first place.

Agree with the anti-multiclips, really put me off.
As much as I love Acid and Beta, the commentary did sound rushed and every time I consciously heard the commentary it was because a mistake had been made or an unnecessary pause had followed.
You’re both so much better than that!
I didn’t really agree with any of the clips either.. so many clips against players that didn’t turn round or were <50hp.. :(

ehhh, the multi-clips were put in there to give other players a chance to be shown in the top10 and for more plays to be shown. if i only allowed 1 per clip, then solid snake mightve gotten 2 or 3 spots instead of his only 1 spot which allowed 2 others to be in there. if 1 player has more than 1 clip from the match i am going to put them together (if they are against the same team)
@ dunc: you can say how the clips arent good and what not, but that is what is given to me. i put what i receive, and not going to just search through everyones demos for stuff. some clips look great but are easy kills of course, but thats just how it is.
keep sending in demos guys for next week’s!

okay, posting on anonymous because I think leogeo is a pretty cool dude and I think it’s cool that he shoutcasts stuff for tf2 and he probably doesn’t deserve some of the things I’m about to say:
leogeo2 is a douche who knows nothing at all about tf2.
He spends half of his time saying things that are simply wrong. It’s painful to listen to him. Look at clip 10 in #3 for example. zerox’s sniper run. “TMG are still trying to push all their guys in”. TMG were never trying to push their guys in, nor were they STILL trying to do so. They’d just lost their demo. They were really really not pushing. Plus, his kill was NOT stolen by whoever that soldier was. Saying things that are blantantly wrong RUINS the whole thing for me. He also can’t pronounce people’s names. How much effort does it take to type /msg dignitas/Ryb you’re gonna be in 2 clips in the next POTW, is your name Ryb or Rybeh and is that pronounced rib or ribe?
Arx and Beta know what’s happening and imo have all the vocal flare of leogeo. was a bit rushed sounding sure, but for an hour’s work it’s definately impressive.
Don’t get me wrong I think potw is awesome and I can’t wait for more, I just can’t understand why anyone likes leogeo…

I agree with everything Dunc said except for the quality of the kills. I think the order could have been changed a bit, and the multiclips dropped. I understand that all of say, the number 1 clips could have been considered for the top 10, but I think a rule should be implemented to only allow a single clip from 1 person. That would mean they would have to submit their BEST play, and not just a load of good ones.
The commentary was rushed, when I was sending it over, all I could think was ‘We are going to get so much shit for this!’. But yea, most of it was unscripted or only had 1 take. Akward pauses were mainly because we were recording the whole thing together, and it was difficult to get the timing right. At the end blacky informed us he only wanted it in single recordings (1 record for each clip) which would have been 1000000000x easier, especially to get the commentary to span the length of the clip.
I love Leogeo doing the top10 potw, his voice is great for it and I don’t think tactical knowledge adds too much to a play of the week skit. It’s mostly about flare. But if we are asked to do it again, the next one would be a million times better :)

Yeah Blacky, I appreciate that you can only put in what you get.
Saying that though, this is a discussion about the best kills collated from the past 2 or 3 weeks and I feel I have every right to comment on the quality, or lack thereof, of the action seen in the clips.
Don’t take it so personally m8, my feedback is simply critical because I’ve already seen some great clips go in to previous POTWs and I felt this one was a bit of a disappointment. If anything, it’s a plea to the players I see owning shit up on a daily basis to get their demos sent in.
If you can’t strive to improve, why strive at all? :)
