What should a fragmovie contain, from a viewers perspective?

I disagree with limiting the length, as long as you have materials then keep it going
Well, if it’s the best clips from a whole year, then I could actually bear seeing a half hours movie, but most of the movies that are 10min + today are usually 3 mins of great content and 7 minutes of filler content.
I actually love custom crosshairs and custom huds on movies, but keep away the colours. Just have your crosshair white :D
dollar you rage quit from a frag movie? lol thats kinda weird,
but yeah i agree with you on the never ending same frags,
and for gaarufl
thank god i dont use a crosshair
i preffer knowing i can do no zooms on my own :P
And i think the most important thing is
to match the music with the video, theres no better boost for a frag then the music matching up with it,making you miss a breath
saying to your self “LOL,WOW”,i mean
one of the reasons i enjoy searching for new frag movies is to see the
music matching up with the frag movie
in game sounds are MUST for scouts and sniper. You can use them to fit very well in your music (example is AA, the shots actually sound like they are part of the song).
soldier and demoman are debatable.
although i personally think that the important thing is to be consistent, don’t turn them on and off
TEAMPLAY
“TEAMPLAY”
To elaborate, id love to see some nice scout teamwork etc, thats always interesting, some epic medic saves would be nice to see to :>
Teamplay, diverse classes preferably (even if you main soldier I’m sure you got a few clips of other classes as well for example), smooth framerate! I get so angry every time I watch a video rendered in 25 FPS. Use 30 at least, and don’t forget motion blur.
Ingame sounds isn’t a must, but personally it really makes the mood of the movie so much better, if the song fits with it. If you’re using an extremely fast DnB song, ingame sounds might not fit.
Go easy on slow motion, and shake things up a bit. I think most people have seen slow motion used with an epic airshot, be a bit more creative.
You want to be able to see what’s going on. Don’t use color filters unless they enhance the movies feel, and then use different color filters depending on the map. Drunk Explosions is a good example http://pldx.com/movie/386/Drunk_Explosions/
And try to sync it if you have a song with a strong beat/melody. The xensity movie isn’t synced too much and the clips are very long, but it works because of the soft music.
