Try to load demo with “playdemo” command instead of demoui.
It might help. At least it works for me.

Great news but is that it? No more complain? No more steam support? I wouldn’t mind having demopanel working like it should. They should fix demo smoothing and that drive bug that writes all input letters in any selected box.
