Hi, since I’m working on a frag video I thought I’d just make a thread and bump it whenever i need some help.

First question:

I’m trying to use the r_drawviewmodel 0 command to remove the weapon form the pov, but nothing happenes. Yes, this is in the pldx tool.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to do it or not?

Cheers.

Hmm, always worked for me. Try viewmodel_fov 0 , don’t remember it working but it’s worth a try.

When you launch PLDX and choose your preset. Press on edit, then the settings tab. There should be a option called ” Disable drawviewmodel switching in demos ” if its checked then uncheck it. Hope it helps :)

Or the above post.

Yeah you probably have the viewmodel set to not change in the options, ie not be changeable. Any command to alter it wont work. Just un tick the box in the options before you launch tf2 through the tool and it should be cosy.

New problem!

I can’t launch the pldx tool. This happened right after the new fucking update that fucked up like 20 good demos. Anyways, this message comes up:

“Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

Cannot create a file when that file already exeists”

Anyone? :>

Go into your team fortress 2 folder and look for a folder called play. Either rename it or delete it (it probably contains all of your config which has been deleted from you cfg folder and other stuff, so hold on to it IMO) and you should be good to go

Same problem, deleting the play folder should fix it.

?

Btw, if you use the pldx recording tool 0.55 that will re-instate the play folder. The old tool uses this so if you don’t want this problem happening again either delete the play folder everytime you use old tool (Don’t know why you would but…) or just keep away from it.

Now I’ve got the same god damn problem again.
But this time when i delete the play-folder, a new one gets created.
So I can’t launch it :(

Anyone?

So I’m recording some medic footage.
Gobby has some nice airheals but in the pldx tool you can’t see the team mates hp cuz hud is removed etc..
Is there a command for me to add only that?
Or do I have to record it in normal TF2?

I think, you must edit the hud to make this visible.
