So first I was gonna record some clip from my teams scout; here : http://etf2l.org/forum/movie/topic-10222/?recent=179462

I had to lock the viewmodel on the demo, so I put this is the pldx tools cfg :

alias “lockmodel_1″ “r_drawviewmodel “1″; wait 5; lockmodel_2″
alias “lockmodel_2″ “r_drawviewmodel “1″; wait 5; lockmodel_1″
bind “o” “lockmodel_1″

I think that’s why everything got fucked. The problem is that when I play tf2 my viewmodels won’t show up, i tried r_drawviewmodel 1, and it didn’t work. I talked to some guy, and he said that my freinds demo fucked up my cfg. And ye, it was fucked up, “e” wasn’t the MEDIC! bind anymore, and “1,2,3” wasn’t the change weapon stuff anymore. I’ve no idea what I’m gonna do now

Make your configs read-me only, put -autoconfig in your launch options, launch TF2, restart it, exec your config. profit

edit: If you need to re-bind some stuff, disable the read-me only for your config, you have to do that in order to edit them, quite logic I know. Might take some time to re-bind but at least you won’t have to do it again later on.

If you’re using PLDX you should have just used the ‘n’ key, it is bound to lock the viewmodel in that config anyway…

This is why I always keep my config.cfg read-only, POV demos fuck up all sorts of shit :x

He means that you should flag your config.cfg as read-only to save future problems.
