When you want to slow down your clip you hold ctrl and extend the clip. At the same time the sound is extended but much like how a low fps clip would become choppy the audio becomes choppy. To remedy this you right click on the audio clip and go to properties, where you can check a ‘lock to stretch’ option. This in some ways smooths out the audio to the stretch you applied to it, resulting in a sweet echo sound.

hmm okay thanks, but my problem is when i fast forward- after i render the fast forward part the screen goes black at these parts. :X any ideas?
edit: but in vegas i can see it normal.

Does it turn out normal if you render it in normal speed? Might be some weird codec you’re using, what format is the video you’re trying to fast forward?

it turns out normal if i render it in normal speed and i compress it with xvid in virtual dub which is avi i think.
