BASICALLY, since I’m going to get alot more attention here I thought I’d make this thread here.

I’ve got some serious capturing problems. I used to rely on the startmovie command to capture, but thanks to valve majorly fucking up once again, that method’s gone. Now what I intended to do was to capture by using the pldx tool but for some reason that doesn’t work for me either. None of the binds work that are listed on the console. Pressing ”x” doesn’t make it go into thirdperson, nor does pressing ”y” make it begin capturing a .tga which was what I wanted to capture in. I don’t really care if this is the wrong forum section to post in, I just want to know of any other methods to capture in or a solution to my pldx tool problem.
I thought it was my F1 – F12 keys on my keyboard (SHIT KEYBOARD, GG) since they never work anyways but the other buttons listed on the console don’t do anything either so I’m pretty much stuck in a hard place here.
If this made any sense to any of you, then please givvus a hand. :)

right now everything that ain’t F1-F12 works. :)
need to change the F1-12 keys to other keys for it to work.

If you have a microsoft keyboard, check F-Lock is on. Used to piss me off so much with my spare keyboard. :x

The first problem was the fact that I hadn’t had F-Lock on, and needed to type ”exec pldx” in console. :)
The second problem with the pldx error fixed itself after I restarted steam because of the steam update.
