Release Notes, B4 (Release Candidate)
Changes to cp_coldfront include:
-Raised cave ceilings in indoor areas by roughly 50%
-Added glass barriers around final CPs
-Remade ramp room flank into CP2 to improve flow
-Added props near mid to curb sniper sightlines
-Added new ledges near mid
-Reduced volume of ambient sounds
-Increased trigger area for garage doors
-Fixed players getting caught on spawn doors
-Several visual and performance improvements
I’m not sure what version I played just now, but my thoughts:
I like mid-point, glad to hear the latest release removes the snowing effect as it was really annoying. Second point is too cramped, with too many entrances in one small space. Last point isn’t too bad, I can’t judge it particularly as by the time we got to last point there was never a proper defence setup – perhaps some more distance between cp2 + cp1 is required. I like the actual cp 1 (ie. how you can stand on it and sticky it off badlands style, but shoot from behind the point as well). I’d be interested to see how it plays if these issues were resolved.
I’ve honestly had more fun fucking having a shit.
This map is fucking dire. The only fix is to reproduce middle (the only good part of the map) over and over.

This is hardly a condemnation of the map.
Everybody has had an epic poop that was more pleasurable than any tf2 experience.

Release Notes, RC1
Changes to cp_coldfront have been made to give the losing team an easier time pushing out of their base, most notably when they are pushed back to their final spawn. It’s been a great development cycle, and I thank everyone who participated. I’m not going to walk away from the map, though, if any changes need to be made, then RC2 will be released. I’m still waiting for VALVe to help me flag my particles as weather.
One of my favourite custom map! I wanna see this map in the next TF2 update :3 and of course i want to play on this map on the next season!

Release Notes, RC2
-Compiled with -staticproplighting (improved lighting on props)
-Particle effects are now flagged as weather, and may be enabled/disabled from the multiplayer options menu
-Added additional cover on mid CP
-Added short railing around last CP
-Improved FPS in final CP area

When i join to BLU team, gate to blue 2nd CP open, but to red 2nd CP closed.

just to clarify, also for the upcoming MNM. this meaning there won’t be any more pro-versions of the map and this the one probably be played on monday?

At the start of each round, that door stays closed. They open once when approached, and remain open. It’s working as intended.

Yes, since now the snow is optional, there is no longer a need for two versions. :)
