Arial is a fucked up, bad looking font that just copied Helvetica and removed what makes Helvetica so awesome, the horizontal endings on the e, 3, t (on the top) and so on.
I like Obscure, both gameplay and style wise. But when I turned off my high fps config to take a closer look at the improved visuals of RC3 and then saw THIS I just thought “ffs and i thought byte wants to make a good – looking map”. Honestly :D
I know, it’s really minor and probably the last thing on your to-do list, but when you take a close look at street signs and labels on walls etc (IRL ofc), you will see that ~ 90% of those are made with Helvetica. Because it shouldn’t “sting” your eye and should be as subtle as possible, yet good looking and easily readable.
So far the feedback from me, the font nerd. :P

The difference from b4 (which is the version used in the last cup) to rc3 is humongous and from rc2 to rc3 is a tad different : < Having said that brand new maps should be played first or have priority to be fair..
Thats why i said we/I, as i'll just host a prize cup etc like i did last time…

edit. but yeah maybe a prize cup would be better to get some of the higher teams involved too…

Played another mix with rc3 today, and a team mate has found an exploit where you can build a teleporter underneath a shutter door. Can’t see much use to it, but its still an exploit/bug nonetheless which would probably be used in a public server.

Just a few bugs/problems to report, at the moment.
Appears to be a problem with the textures from the snow outside clipping into the house at CP2, only appears on RED side.

The two spotlights around CP1 are problematic. The light doesn’t emanate from the source correctly.

Is it supposed to look like that, or is it just my shitty config? (red cp1 is just as bad) The color makes me want to slap you byte, make it go away please.

Got to admit, we played cp_obscure_rc3 last night for 3hours+ on the Multiplay Public server last night, and alot of the pro’s came along and some public players and i must admit with the new layout of cp1 and spawn timers it caps soo much better. Would hope the others who played last night would give some feedback.
Although swifty cheats!!!
By the way, class limits have been put on… 3 demolimit 3 sniperlimit 3 engi limit!

I think it played very well on public, I think im gonna stick with my opinion that crits should be turned off though :P
Shame people started to leave as you did byte, but then again i guess it was pretty late. Any chance of a mumble server linked with this server so people can chat while playing?
had a great laugh playing the public server with a few mates on mumble.
the demo spam at start of round… amazing :D but great job overall, can’t really see any fault.

I have to be honest, I hated obscure in the beginning, but rc3 kinda makes me love the map, goodjob man :)
