ctf_wildfire also had the “touch to return flag” mechanic.
I think as well, you could only cap when your flag was at your base.

Yes I was talking about converge but I have played ctf_haunt/vitalism before and also think its very interesting, another kind of ctf that also has potential.
Are there any STVs of games from the Turbine cup kicking around? I need an STV to add Turbine to the spec tools plugin.

converge is too stalematey. if you have the intel but also have capped a few times you can just hide with it until the timer runs out.
haunt is a really boring map with no interesting fighting areas. at least for 6v6. too open and sniper friendly and not designed for the 6v6 classes in mind. the gamemode itself might be interesting but we have yet to test this on a map that works in 6v6.
turbine is not that good but it’s solid compared to the other two maps. the fighting might be a bit boring but the flank possibilities make up for that.
