With the Introduction of the new Game mode (Special Delivery) it has become possible to make some “escort” TFC style maps over to Team fortress 2 and someone has ported Hunted to a Team fortress 2 game mode.
Certainly better Than CTF maps, this would be a extremely excellent addition
into the highlander competition.
yes but the cart follows a set path, where as the intel in special delivery does not.
indeed, i loved this game mode too.
Well with all the uproar and hatred about ctf maps in Competitive play if ctf maps have a shout i defantly think this map should at least be tried out tested and put to a vote at least.
yeah for sure.
gotta try it out somewheres but whom is brave enough to upload it and start a double mix?
i can fix it on my server i suppose
Hycz once you’ve uploaded it
Add me to your friends list if you upload it, we’ll get a mix going of somekind

Tell me about it when you do infact try this map, will it be 6v6 or HL?
Not too sure this game mode will work as well as it did.
From what i remember from tfc instead of the intel there was a civilian class who some lucky person would play for example saxton hale he had a crowbar and only a crowbar. The people stopping him (defending) reaching the end were spies and snipers ONLY. The “bodyguards” who defended the civilian to the check point were soldiers and heavys and i think medics (but they didnt have a healgun back then). The aim was to get the civilian to the end without him getting killed, if he died he would get reset back to the spawn to try again.
I can see this being a good gamemode but without the class limits its just tf2 again with engines etc. Would like this to be tested though!

I’m pretty sure valve considered this while making tf2 already. “civilian” was even a playable class in the early versions of TF2 (T-posed scout with 50 hp http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Civilian)
The existence of the Civilian class seems to indicate a planned updated version of the VIP Escort game mode from the Team Fortress classic series of games. Alternatively, the class may have been included in the game files so that independent map makers and modders could add this feature. Additionally, the Administrator possesses a sound file in the GCF in which she commands the team to “Stop the courier!”, suggesting an official Hunted game mode was in the works at some point.
