yeah , im wondering which irc client do you use and ofc which is the best in your opninon ?
I currently use xchat, as for ‘best’ it really depends on what you want out of it.
If you’re into the technical side of IRC, and things like scripting, go for Irssi. If you’re wanting an IRC client that supports scripting and has an intuitive GUI go for xchat.
mIRC + NN script
I dont like the naked mIRC that much, but NN gives it some extra versatility

I use irssi, it looks like this. You can mess around with it to make it look nicer though.
That said I’d recommend mIRC. It’s easy to use and has what you want generally, particularly with nnscript.

I use irssi running in screen on my server.
A ‘screened’ irssi with some tweaks to make it more BitchX-like ;)
Allows you to connect with a simple SSH client from all over the world and use the same IRC session… Text-mode ftw :)

XChat 2 here as well.
irsii is nice, but seriously, theres no need to use a command line IRC client on a windows desktop computer.
