Soldier Weps, Overpowered or not?

Yeah, I don’t think it should instagib a scout. But I also don’t think Valve are going to change this feature because without that ability the weapon has no practical use. The problem as I see it is that it follows the trend of making noob friendly weapons, like the huntsman arrows, force a nature, backburner, natasha and the sword and shield – TDH is just another one.
Soldier has got even more boring since the update, before the FAN scout would dominate all higher ground now we got FAN scout and DH soldiers – you cant RJ.
Ban both weapons

What also botters me. Heavy always had problems in the balance. He only got shit weapon unlocks. Soldier in my eyes is better as the heavy in any way. Soldier is the absolute allrounder in the game and is able to handle every situation in the game. And all those weapon unlocks make the soldier even stronger. Especially the pickaxe is something that would be more fair for a heavy who cant rocketjump, is slower as the soldier and generally has more problems with his health. So the update isnt fair to a nerfed class like heavy.
I also dont see the point in huntsman sniper. Everybody hated the huntsman, so everybody should hate TDH even more. TDH is roughly as fast as an arrow and has a bigger hitbox. Moreover you can spam/fire more rapid then with arrows and you wont lose movement compared with charging an arrow. Arrows are strong with headshots, but the minicrits when airshotted is most of the time an instantkill too (which is easier to get compared to a headshot). Moreover, soldier has more health, can rocketjump and has more usefull secondary and melee weapons compared to the sniper. Introducing TDH is making the huntsman sniper useless.

Lets just use TFTrue remove the mini crit and the instagib for scouts, lower the damage fall off and increase the splash abit. Then we can change the FaN aswell

I dunno about additional splash, but the rest sounds reasonable.

i’d like if the minicrits were removed, but if you lowered the damage too then there’d be even less reason to use it over the rl

ie make it a slightly tweaked Rocket Launcher instead of a real alternate weapon.

How is it a tweaked RL when the splash it still small, so its hard to damage multiple targets and focus targets with other soldiers? So what you lose in multiple damage situations, you gain in killing single targets ie. playing a more aggressive roaming soldier.
Thus being a good alternative in the right situations.

I actually see the point of killing scout one shot, but it sound fucking tremendous for the scouts, who’re roaming and heading for the main target – medic. They have to pass the soldier. But if the Dirrect Hit doesn’t one shot them – there’s a BIIG chanse of scout getting that soldier dead and eventually the medic too. Dirrect Hit needs a dirrect hit, which’s a hard to get against a decent scout with some movement, Removing minicrits would be fair enough and I’d say it would remove a HOLE lot of soldiers using it, bringing them back to the old basic RL.

Pretty sure that’s already the case. I simply don’t see why the splash needs to be increased.
