Yes, if medic was a combat-class. Obviously it is never going to adhere fully to the presented theory, as there is never going to be perfect balance. Under various circumstances one class will have an advantage over another, etc., but with a low degree of reproducability. Don’t take it so literally.
Medic was just one example, isn’t the whole point of classes that certain classes have certain pro’s & certain con’s?
Hence, some classes will have an advantage in a 1v1, it’s what you get in classbased games.
The whole ‘more damage on direct shots and mini crits’ is just fucking retarded with the speed of that weapon. I’ve said this before and I still stand by it: Take away the increased direct damage and mini crits but make the splash only ~35% smaller instead of 70%.
Then plz tell me what would be the fucking idea of the Dirrect Hit then? You can’t even name it that way then. It’s only increased rocket speed and decreased splash damage. That would be popular – indeed. Don’t be OVER the top

Edit: Unless you guys think that a rolling nade should do more damage than a direct rocket at long range?
Is there something testing for you about dodging rolling nades?
As testing as dodging a long range rocket yep, so why should it do more damage?
Something to do with less range, arched aim, unpredictable bounching mech. Crazy I know.

Pause at 2:30, that rocket was placed between the medic and soldier (whenever enemies are close you fire between them, never at one alone or he absorbs all the damage) that single rocket took 81 from the medic and 73 from the soldier, that’s 154 combined, had I shot with the DH the medic would of taken 100 damage and the soldier would of taken nothing. This is why the DH fails.

Had you shot with the DH, you wouldn’t have taken any damage either because of the explosion radius reduction.

Yeah kaidus, as soldier I do indirect hits all the time, only time I aim directly is when there’s only one enemy within splash damage radius, that’s my point – the point being a DH soldier would be some ¬50 damage down when fighting enemies within regular RL splash damage range.

The TDH is worse because Fragga was once able to separate a medic from a solly and dealing damage along the way.
That totally makes sense.
Btw, Scattergun is better than the FAN because I was once able to kill 3 people in a row without reloading between the kills.
