So I presume everyone agrees that the direct hit should have the mini-crits removed and that the buff banner is overpowered.

Still up for discusion:
-TDH 1 hit killing scouts
-The equalizer in general
-The gunboats in general
-How the buff banner could be tweaked

Not sure about the 1 hit kill TDH. I reckon we should keep playing as it is now before making a rash decision.

I understand how the equalizer is OP. If it is nerfed, please not the speed. Even the same melee damage as the shovel, I’d be happy with the speed buff alone.

I’m lucky enough to have these but I’d prefer if they were attached to an achievement. The boots themselves at the moment do seem a little underpowered. I’d prefer it if they reduced damage on all rocket jumps, not just vertical jumps for some tradeoff.

Honestly have no idea. Reduced reloading, faster fire rate, faster movement speed, extra health, damage resistance, all could possibly work. As it stands now, the buff is just insanely powerful and whilst fun, not exactly a representation of ‘skill’.

I think it could be interesting if bugle gave +25 hp to all nearby units (unaffected by overheal, meaning a scout overhealed to 185 would only get +25, despite being healed afterwards, it wouldn’t increase to a +37.5 bonus), and with no overheal decay for ~15 sec. To make this a bit more useful you could have it so players would only have to rally around the soldier while he performs it, and then people could scatter out more.

Instead of that, a slight damage buff instead of damage buff + no fall-off could also be interesting as it wouldn’t be as much of a turn-over. However, if it was to have as big of an impact on game flow as now, it would have to be tweaked to be made more predictable (like über is).

TDH is such a handicapped and clumsy weapon already but I suppose you could to get rid of minicrits. Any proper scout can take out a TDH soldier with ease since good scouts have really good movement which makes it incredibly hard to make a direct hit. The lack of proper splash damage is such a tremendous loss and you can mainly take out single targets but that requires concentration and aim, not some frantic spamming like with regular rl. If someone claims TDH overpowered he clearly has no clue what it’s like to play with it compared to normal rl.

Based on my experience the banner is overpowered and if the other team uses it, the other has to use it too to stand a chance. Especially well organised teams are just deadly with it.

The Equalizer is a good buff for soldier, you could nerf the damage a bit since it’s quite ridiculous with really low hp but otherwise it gives a low hp soldier an actual chance to retreat and survive which hasn’t really been possible until now.

God, I think most peoples qualm is with the fact the weapon can INSTAGIB. I don’t think its overpowered at all. The main issue is the fact the waepon can 1 hit 6/9 of the classes at close to medium range (where most of the soldier battle occurs) and that’s without minicrits!

And your “scouts can easily kill TDH soldiers” theory is slightly wrong imo. At the moment you may be right because when a scout gets near a soldier they are so used to aiming for the feet and trying to get the splash on him (and hopefully juggling him to knock off his aim), but infact at close range the weapon is so fast it can be considered a hitscan and actually I’ve had no problem killing scouts when I’ve tried it out. At medium range sure the TDH is harder to use against scouts but at that range it takes so many shots for the scout to kill you, you can just keep trying and it only takes 1 good hit and that’s GG.

The weapon isn’t overpowered; it’s just lame.

Nerf the damage slighty, make the splash radius slightly bigger, keep the speed, remove minicrits.
