Flush hacks he fckn kills me as sniper all the time in pub, i have been suspicious for a while now

no im sorry tragett i strongly disagree as ive known and played with Flush for a long time therefore he couldnt cheat XD see what i did there? turned this into a pekeno/loksly troll hehe

Tbh that demo shows nothing in terms of cheating. The internecine guys should learn some fucking dodging

I’m afraid my alarm bells are kinda ringing here: how exactly does a demo just *stop* recording without a player dropping or issuing a “stoprecord” command? Is there some technical explanation that we’re unaware of?

Do you actually know how to spot a cheater or did you just skim over the demo for 30 seconds in 200% speed?

why did the fastlane demo stop, and why is there no stv demo of it?

I hope you realise that threads like this are utterly pointless. I don’t think a single person here has anti-cheat experience and none of you know what you’re looking for. How long you’ve been playing this game and at what level is pretty much irrelevant and being unbiased doesn’t make your opinion any more “right”.

Some fun facts:

1) Aimbots have moved far far beyond ‘snap headshot’ or ‘spin in circles’ aimbots that are incredibly blatent to everyone. The majority of aimbots these days, I assume at least if they want to be successful for cheating in leagues, have humanised features such as missing the target. There are players with amazing aim (let’s say Shintaz, because I love him) that potentially will hit more in a match than someone that is aimbotting. The key difference is, and the thing which means that one is hacking and the other isnt, is that one is using a bot to hit the hits that he is hitting.

2) This follows on from point 1 somewhat, but a player’s skill doesn’t translate to whether they are cheating or not. Just because a player is div2/3 skill and isn’t 2 shotting everything like a div1 scout doesn’t rule out the possibility that he is cheating. Someone that would otherwise be div6 skill can use an aimbot set to miss a certain % of the time and instantly become div3 skill. There have been at least several hackers caught in places like div5 in the past, hackers aren’t exclusive to the highest divs.

3) LANs are a good indicator, but ultimately also provide nothing in the way of conclusive proof. If a player is awful at LAN but amazing online, he might have just had a bad day but he might also be a hacker. And here’s one of the crucial things that pretty much everyone seems to forget: good players hack too. Kondor had the backing of most of the russian community who’d seen him play well at LAN, but that contributes absolutely nothing as a counter-argument to “These specific demos show him aimbotting” because it says nothing about what happened during those matches.

4) Aimbots don’t have to be on all the time. One example from a thread like this I remember was some guys saying “LOLOLOL they banned him for this sniper shot but he missed 4 times before!”. Basically, there’s nothing to stop players from just using an aimbot to get an extra edge, turn it on when you really really need it sort of thing. That’s still hacking, albeit not “as bad” as if you were to be aimbotting all the time but still much deserving of a lengthy ban. I’m not entirely sure if this is the case in this particular instance because the OP said that the WP admins claimed it to be on all map (which could mean moments of hacking throughout the map or every single shot, who knows!).

Basically what it boils down to is this: you have to trust the anti-cheat admins of a league or not play in the league (the only right thing Iller said). They are the only ones that (arguably) know what they’re actually talking about and appealing to the public is not going to change anything unless suddenly Winneh comes out of retirement upon seeing this post and disproves the theory that he’s a hacker. A thread like this one pops up every time a friend (and/or clanmate) of someone is going to be banned for hacking and every time the player still gets banned. The best anyone could do for Harryhook is to become knowledgeable in anti-cheat and disprove the evidence against him through legitmate means, but please understand that threads full of bias or neutral-clueless opinions aren’t going to change anything.

I understand your point of view Vali, but this demo has 0 cheating anyways. and it’s all they have.
